"absolutely wonderful little pub, full character, really warm, friendly staff. this review is written after our second visit in three weeks to this pub for lunch. my and my family have eaten in every facility on the island and the royal oak was the last place we visited and we feel that we have saved the best until last! I can say without doubt that this will be our local from now on. both visit the personal was wonderful and attentive and eating was amazing first visit I had the gammony, and chips and the burger on my second visit and both were (cook kuss) mwah! the burger has such a beautiful taste and was cooked to perfection! ashley and harry have looked after us at our visit and we are both beautiful, all are employees! and the prices are very reasonable compared to other places we have eaten without the same quality. the only advice I would give is to direct attention to the times, as the way we went into the pub was not the way we could go out again, but we found it creepy and it helped us to go from our beautiful big lunch."

beautiful traditional pub in an amazing environment with beautiful view. had the traditional Sunday roast that was delicious. personal friendly and attentive. will definitely recommend and go again when in the opposite.

my 2 friends and I spent a nice Friday afternoon sitting in the garden area enjoying a delicious fish and chip lunch. this is a beautiful old pub in a beautiful seafront setting. the service was good, tasty and the sun careful! I hope they will visit in this opposite way during their visit.

Visited with family today for a Sunday roast. The staff were friendly and smiley even though it was very clear it was a really busy afternoon. Compliments to the chef and kitchen staff for serving up perfectly cooked vegetables and hot food when under such tremendous pressure. It's obvious there is a lot of good team work going on and you all pull together. Keep up the good work! 5*

I live in the local area and haven't visited the Royal Oak for many years due to constant changes in landlords (I didn't actually see any of them! and inexperienced, unfriendly staff. I decided to book in for a meal last night as I heard good reports. What a difference! The food was great Stefano was so attentive and the atmosphere was lovely.
