Ruland - Carta

we were in this hotel. we were recommended to have dinner in this hotel. it was a good choice. the foods were very delicious and fresh. we have tried various dishes. everything we had was delicious. good cook.

We had a short lunch there and tried their local trout (forellen . It was amazing, so tasty. Side salad was the best I've eaten in Germany. Fish, very well cooked in butter, white wine was also perfect. Hope to visit again soon:

Excellent. Fine sauerbraten in fabulous sauce. It was so tasty it stifled the taste of my wine so will drink beer with it next time. The dining rooms are great and there was a log fire roaring just inside the door. Must get abck soon. Ver carta

Rutland Pfaennchen was a top 5 meal. Pork blended perfectly with gravy, mushrooms, potatoes and baked tomato. All together on the plate was incredible. Pork cooked medium rare was flavorful and cut with a fork. German chocolate cake was a letdown but looked fantastic. However,...the flockensahne torte was the best, skip the GCC. Pumpkin soup had raves as well. EAT HERE!

nasty experience I just felt in this hotel in oldahr. many tables free, but if they are brown no place for them. we were with Kovid test and mask. unbelievable to feel this kind of experience in europa, germany. I felt the racist. I've been living in Germany for 4 years, it's a pity that this type of things happen, for the first time I have to say. Very good restaurant serving regional dishes. I started with a salad which was not only nicely decorated, but also provided a variety of tasty and fresh greens. The main dish was deer stew, very tender in a delicious sauce served with red cabbage and potato...dumplings. The service was friendly and accommodating, even as we were the last guests to come in for dinner. Decent selection of wines by the glass, although not as good as elsewhere. I went through this hotel/restaurant to find a place to eat. the restaurant had a large covered terrace and that was very welcome as it rained in the night. but the temperature was good, so many guests wanted to eat outside. most. tables were either occupied or reserved, but there was one table I could take. the menu offered a fair choice to praise something above the German average. but the quality of the dishes was great and also the presentation was beautiful. wein at the glass in the opposite had to be German and taste very good. I had a delicious meal and enjoyed it.

only a few days from amsterdam, so wanted something not too far with the car, oldahr is a 3 hours drive. beautiful small village, hotel directly in the center, everything close. has to the mountain back above the village, great view. very muddy of it was rainy. great walks in the surroundings. to our surprise the hotel offered a regional train ticket, so it used to drive to koblenz and down the Rhine Valley to st goar where we took the Rhine crossing. personal very attentive, julia of the reception exceptional, also speaks herzogin! eating was good, but buffets, they remember in Germany so early before it plundered! the employees will be refilled whenever asked.

Die dritte Etappe des Ahrsteig führte uns von Insul nach Mayschoss durch Altenahr hindurch. Hier in Altenahr beginnt der Weinbau im Ahrtal und auch die Touristendichte steigt an. Waren wir bisher durch eine fast menschenleere Landschaft gewandert, änderte sich das nun auf dem Wanderweg. Wir hatten uns vorgenommen, im Hotel Ruland unsere Mittagspause einzulegen. Dieses Hotel kannten wir bereist von einer früheren Übernachtung (vor Kritikerzeiten) und das damals Gebotene ließ uns wieder einkehren. Die Terrasse liegt auf der Rückseite des Hotels und zwischen Terrasse und Ahrufer liegt noch ein sehr schöner kleiner Biergarten mit Zugang direkt vom Uferweg.
