"I'm not usually a selfish person, but if I could, I would keep the Rye Cafe all to myself. They offer a brilliant selection from their usual menu, and Robbie, the chef and owner, usually has daily specials. The only real resemblance to a normal community cafe is a general friendliness and abundance of local regulars the food is anything but typical. Yes, yes, of course you can get a bacon or sausage sandwich, but these are made from all locally sourced ingredients and cooked to perfection seriously! Juices are all made to order. Sweet treats and bake goods what he doesn't create himself also come from local one person/one kitchen set ups. Robbie draws on his years of being a top hotel chef in Dubai and Southeast Asia to bring you special delights with a kick. The best hidden gem in Ashtead. Master Chef Robbie's incredible culinary skills are complemented by his friendly nature towards patrons of all ages. He is amusing and great with families, but shh, don't let him know!

I used to think it was impossible to make perfect scrambled eggs, but that all changed when I visited RYE Cafe. They nail the consistency every time, and it's even better with a little hot sauce on top. If you haven't been to this hidden gem in Ashtead, I highly recommend checking it out next time you're in the area.

I don 't know why we have waited so long to try the food here! It 's not often that, apart from the whole family saying 'hmmm ' after every bite, everyone is eating silently and we all have squeaky clean plates. The juices are very tasty! Just what 's needed to pick you up after a difficult morning working from home. The service is great and it 's wonderful to be able to support a family business like this. Repeat customers for sure!
