"Visited with friends for an evening meal after hearing good reviews about the place. As usual I'll get the moans out of the way first, there are only 2 but unfortunately they are both about the meal.. I thought being an Italian restaurant having calamari would be a safe bet, wrong, it was so overcooked it was like chewing elastic bands. Mains, was a king prawn dish with pasta. It came with chips, unfortunately I was that hungry, I'd eaten half of it before I realised, the actual king prawn dish was lovely, but who has an Italian dish with chips? On the plus side, the place itself is nice, clean and comfortable, the staff and nice and friendly and the service was good, not having to wait long for your meal, there was also a good selection of wines available."

"I love a good Italian. That wasn't good. it was devastatingly fantastic and that was a Friday night when they were full and a chef down. we have booked and they apologise that they could only bring us to the winter garden. I mean, this is a conservatory illuminated cosily with walls of leaves and flowers (including this rose that had a own life, scanning the diners as if a science fiction marvel with hidden camera) and actually pleasantly away from the truppet of the restaurant. two waiters visited us (without coming in any other wise and not having false communication) a Ukrainian lady and an olive grove, both who were attentive and had a great sense of humor (I was not allowed my dessert until I really pronounced it.) I must tell them that eating was amazing. the wine was delicious, the appetizers delicious. the net looked too good to destroy (but we did anyway). try the mushrooms. not try the goat cheese. try the hard fish. taste the pasta. taste the desserts. amazing menu and personal, and next time we come to skegness that is where we eat."

"As holiday makers nearby we ordered a takeaway and we were both so impressed by the food. My prawn starter was delicious and the prawns were huge! The pasta dish we each had was equally delicious, hot and tasty and generous portions. When we return to Skegness we will definitely choose you again Thank-you Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner"

"We love going to Skeggy and always go to Mario’s on the last night. This has been happening for around 10 years so we were a bit shocked to hear it had changed hands, and name, but were hopeful that the food would still be as nice. Long story short, it isn’t. The chicken, was virtually inedible, clearly frozen rather than fresh, tough as old boots. my missus left all hers, but doesn’t like to complain, especially as some other people were complaining about something and we felt for the waitress who was very young, very friendly though which is always nice. I’ll keep my eye on the reviews and hopefully we’ll see an improvement so we can return. My missus says we’re not going back though, so we probably not lol. In all seriousness though, we’re pretty gutted to lose the best restaurant In Skegness."

"There are several Italian restaurants in this area and by looking at the pictures and driving past this one looked lovely. We booked and when we arrived the front of house gentleman was very polite and seated us straight down. I can only describe the restaurant as a little Aladdin’s cave it was beautifully decorated and to be able to watch the chief cook our food was the icing on the cake. We had previously looked at the menu online and when we got there there was an updated menu with one of the dishes we wanted not on it. We asked if it was still possible to order it and he said no problem. The food was amazing and the service was excellent with a very friendly atmosphere, the portions were extremely generous and was even given a doggy bag to take our left overs home. Will definitely be going back when here again."
