"We visited Lymm by narrow boat and wanted to eat out. We have eaten in various places in Lymm before, which were fine, but I never felt so impressed as to write a review. Access to Sahib is down a little alley way. The restaurant is upstairs, the staff were very welcoming on arrival and very helpful. The menu was varied, and I chose to have something I had not tried before, which is apparently a house special/invention. Both my husband and I enjoyed our meals immensely and will go back again when passing. The owner who was serving wad very pleasant and interesting to chat too. I can definitely recommend a visit here. Our dishes are not on the list below I had a Cham Cham and my husband had a small prawn dupiaza."

This is the original curry house in lymm and is hidden away. If you want the best curry in lymm it's from here, I personally love the King Akbari Cham Cham. The staff are always friendly as it is a family run buisness and it shows. Ver carta

Its a couple of years since we had any food from her so decided to get a take away just to see how the food was. I can say that all the dishes we ordered were excellent and I would not hesitate to go there or get food from them again.

I am writing this to let people know that we had booked a 4 person table months in advance and on the evening I called to check the time and according to the internet it was open. There was a message saying they are closed with no reason.

We headed back to Sahib during the brief hiatus from lockdown last year and I have been meaning to review since. The onion bhajis are out of this world, the Cham Cham is really some kind of witchcraft as it starts sweet with a heat building but never too hot. Had me sweating! Great, always a bit haphazard but that is part of the charm. No doubt this is the best Indian restaurant in Lymm, I just wish they delivered.

When we arrived at the restaurant, we were the first customers so we had the chance to chat to the head waiter. I couldn't decide what dish to go for so I asked for one that contained my favourite ingredients : Plenty of coriander, garlic, chilli and lots of ginger. When it arrived, it was exactly what I asked for. It was delicious. I couldn't fault it. I was so thrilled that my request had been accommodated. I can imagine that this may be difficult during extra busy periods but it made the meal so special for me. I really appreciated it. Thank you Sahib First class service and first class food

"Bill came to £145 for two people. This is the third time we have been to Mr Lous to try their “famous” lobster deal where you get a bottle of champagne with any 2pb Lobster which is only on Fridays. Each time we have been they have had NO lobster! Food we did order was extremely overpriced, dry and unpleasant. Duck spring rolls £7 hardly had any meat in them, just stuffed with a load of Veg. Honey Chicken £18 was basically 8 chicken nuggets on a plate with NO Sauce! We had to share the sauce from another main. Prawn toast £14 was awful! It is basically one piece of toast stuffed with more than the usual amount of Prawns. It was dry and taste was overwhelming with the amount of prawns stuffed in there. King Dum Po Chicken £24 calamari £4 £28 total for a main without any rice or chips! You could tell they reduced the portion size just to add the Calamari. Portion was mainly veg with little meat. AGAIN! Tried to order drinks with the porter who brings food to the table which he said he’ll get a staff member to come over. 15 minutes later no one came. I had my meal with no drink. We was in the booth right next to the bar so I had to go up and order it myself. Cocktail took another 10 minutes to come. Drinks were overpriced due to the lack of complimentary champagne with the lobster which we called and was assured they would have on! . Service was extremely slow, waited 20 minutes to get a waiters attention to pay the bill. You could spot way off who the owner was as she was stomping around the restaurant piercing looks at the staff. The concept of this restaurant is amazing, But the delivery on service, food, affordability and customer service have been compromised by its former reputation which once held this establishment in such a high pedestal. Now, it seems it’s got more expensive without any improvement on its service. It is the kind of restaurant you try once just for experience, but retention of customers is defiantly an issue this restaurant faces. Restaurant itself was designed with a gorgeous interior with good lighting. But, I wouldn’t be deceived."
