"this restaurant is already on the way to become one of the best Indian restaurants in many, if not, the country. already traveled twice since its opening from the midlands. service is fantastic. eating is of the highest quality. as a real foodie and specialist in the Indian cuisine itself, it was a joy to try the labor and hard work in the unique ingredients in every dish I ordered. not often I am satisfied with eating in Indian restaurants, but only eating here is worth traveling upwards. the restaurant has its own cocktail. to make a specialist that offers a unique personal experience. my rum cocktail was great! other things to note that the restaurant has a separate wine lounge to cool out or rent out what I will have in mind as a separate vegetarian kitchen and restaurant. credible, everything in everything. I'm a very satisfied customer. I have exceeded my expectations. the best is, this place is only better!"

Went to a birthday celebration for a family member. This restaurant is one of those which offers reliably tasty food at reasonable price and fairly good service. The menu is extensive with numerous vegan dishes. It's spacious and well lit but depending on which table you are sat at, you are exposed to the draught which can be most uncomfortable. Fair amount of parking available.

I love this place and will definitely be going back. Very authentic Indian flavours. I haven't come across any other restaurant in Manchester where the chef is capable and is happy to alter the dish to suit your palate !! The staff were very welcoming. Being a vegetarian, I also love the fact that they have a separate kitchen and dining area which I haven't come across anywhere in the UK! May be I'll stick to this place altogether ; Sad I cannot attach any pictures which I couldn't resist snapping the way the food was presented was brilliant.

Nice Lamb Chops We went here first time last week for dinner with our family and friends. Nice place and convenient car parking. I had Lamb chops for the starter and it was very nice and juicy. My daughter wanted Ghee dosa but her dosa was bit burnt and she did not like it. Main dishes were ok, no complaints. I would request the staff to check the plates before giving them, one of the plates we were given had a crack and when one of my friends put finger on the plate small tiny piece from the cracked plate pierced in to her finger. Also when keeping or giving the plate please mention the plate is hot so that kids are careful when they touch it.

Alborz

Alborz

820 Stockport Road, Manchester, United Kingdom

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
