Don’t order large fish and Chips just get fish supper, fish was no bigger and portion of chips quite small but still pay more, but a nice local busy fish shop.Also has sweet shop!

Sammy's gluten-free fish and chips are amazing. Make sure to call ahead and place your order 30 minutes in advance, as they have a dedicated fryer for gluten-free items. Your gluten-free order will come in a separate bag, making it easy to identify.

Superb food and good price for people having large meals too! The haggis was delicious and chips were very good! Wanting to go back one more time on holiday was very sad they were closed on our last day Sunday. Will go back when next visiting for sure. Ver carta

Stayed at Ben Nevis holiday site and wanted a chippy. Found this great chippy with great reviews and they are not wrong. I had Scottish pie and the wife had fish and chips, that was huge, we both finished the lot and wanting more. Gentleman behind the counter made me feel welcome as an Englishman in Scotland served by his lovely staff. Best chippy ever and that Scottish pie is amazing. Thank you Sammy

reviews and encouragement need to be given to fish and chip shops that make and sell good traditional products. I have found one such shop, Sammys in Caol near Fort William who make excellent fish and chips, because the fish which is cooked just right, (not slimy and wet) is coated in light crispy, good tasting batter. Not the sort of slimy, dark, smooth, rubbery, ugh batter, that most fish and chip shops coat their fish in and sell today, at high prices.

The food at this restaurant is delicious and plentiful! We enjoyed dinner here on our first night and again two days later because it was so good. As New Zealanders, we have high standards for fish and chips, and this place exceeded our expectations. They take great care to prepare and cook gluten-free options separately, and they can even recommend GF beverages. Just be sure to give them a 30-minute heads up if you're ordering GF dishes. If we ever return, this restaurant will be our first choice! Ver carta
