"A group of us recently played golf for the prestigious Saunton Jug, we didn't win!! But we did get the chance to sample the excellent food. A really tasty prawn starter and really lovely locally sourced sausages, mash and peas for main course, topped off with a delicious banoffee pie dessert. The service from the staff was excellent and as for the golf course, well first class. We look forward to returning next year. Thank you Saunton. John Peters Club Captain High Post Golf Club"

Enjoyed a lovely lunch after golf match. Homemade fish cakes and lasagne and very good service. Lovely views across the golf course.

We had a lunch their last Saturday and all of us agreed that it was the best Golf Club lunch we've in ages. Terrific value, large portions and variety will specials changing daily. Top job.

We went for the food with a friend who is a member. We were treated to views of the 18th hole and watched the golfers putting for all to see. The roast beef and lamb were superb and a delightful time was had by all.

Excellent quality golf club food, breakfast, lunch, and dinner all sampled, the bar however does close early and you are encouraged to drink elsewhere. Such a great pair of golf courses you will forgive them anything!

Sunday lunch today was superb. Great food, great service, great ambiance, wonderful location, great value. Well done to the Chef and staff.Roast beef or pork, all the trimmings and brilliant sweets. What more could you want.

golfing here for 3 days we enjoyed meals, snacks and light bites. All good, hot and well presented. The chips are light, dry and crisp brilliant.If you want good hearty food this is well worth a visit. The golf course views are superb.

Went for Sunday lunch with family and was very impressed with the selection and quality of food on the carvery. Well cooked wholesome food.The golf club is in a beautiful setting and the restaurant seems to have been recently refurbished it's a lovely place to eat.

One Chef to carve for a group of 110 is not enough, especially with cold plates and they could have done a lot, lot better and running out of meat, quite a few of unhappy people that will not go again ,and very dis-organised, some people were having their coffee while others were just stating their main course , A very disappointing Christmas Lunch
