"Tucked away in a tiny street in the old quarter of Angouleme, you could pass by this restaurant without another look. Its not flashy or modern but don't be fooled. The quality of the food is flavoursome and as authentic as I have experienced in India itself. The restaurant is immaculately clean but my choice would be to eat at a table on the terrace and watch the world go by. It's one of the first places I head for when visiting Angouleme. The service is friendly and efficient. Many staff have worked for the restaurant for many many years. Don't be afraid to ask the waiter for the dishes to be "home hot" if you like truly spicy aromatic curry dishes. The roti and nan are hot, crispy and mouth-watering with a good dressing of ghee. The portions are good and we chose a few to share. None disappointed. The sag aloo was particularly delicious especially with any of the lamb curries."

The plates' decorations and the traditional costumes the waiters wore were probably last seen in Britain in the '80s but the food was good and lighter than in many Indian restaurants in London

I have been several times in this restaurant for various occasions and each time the welcome is warm. The dishes are very good. I'll give you the cheese nan and the butter chicken. owners are in small care.

meal offered by our family, at 50 euros, a little expensive for what we ate! typical decoration , our table placed near the bar where we received the emanations of the coffee machine , not pleasant ! normal service.

I advise to go, the dishes are atypical, very good (especially butter chicken) and healthy, the welcome is warm and the staff (familial) very friendly. Waiting is just a little long, I recommend going to a good restaurant party!

I have been to the two restaurants in Angouleme one this one the other a Pakistani one because I wanted to try Indian food and I must say Prefer this one much better because the food is delicious and there is plenty of choice for vegetarians. I loved their rose water drink; the yogurt sauces naan nature and the chicken curry.

come as a couple and lovers of exotic taste, I didn't find myself in an indian, I haven't found the flavors of the indian I've been through five years ago. The kitchen is made but the perfumes do not reveal themselves, the journey is hardly working. Too bad because there's everything good, a little more spices of dishes, more generosity.

discovering this restaurant located in a small street of old Angola and I loved it very much. the menu is varied and offers a vegetarian menu. dishes are affordable, copyy and very good. not being an Indian food connoisseur, they are detailed on the map and the server takes the time to explain if necessary. Very pleasant and welcoming service. the restaurant also offers the take-away sale.

Arrived here without a booking and the staff worked well to accommodate our party of 5. There is a real traditional feel about this place, which has sadly been lost in a lot of Curry houses back in th Uk. The food was very good, tasty and was not swamped in oil. I had a lamb biryani for main and I think it was one of the best I've eaten. I've eaten there before and had a similar great experience, but it was new to my friends and like me they will be definately be returning.

"Saturday evening 10/28, dinner at the gourmet restaurant Les Sources de Fontbelle for the 2nd time (5 guests). The first time we were really enchanted by the setting, the service, the aperitif on the terrace and the chef 's proposal. On the other hand, this 2nd experience is very far from what I hoped to be able to experience again. Already from the aperitif we started on a bad basis with a little discriminatory side. This is the only restaurant that punishes you for appetizers because you do not have an aperitif (glass of champagne or cocktails) confirmed by the waiter. All the tables had different appetizers but not our table due to the simple fact that we had a bottle of white wine to start. I learned that you had to like champagne or cocktails to deserve the same service as on the other tables, which is unfortunately not the case for me and my guests followed me, sad for them (I should add which we also had a bottle of red wine afterwards). I find this lamentable for a gourmet restaurant, one Michelin star and for the 8-course menu at €130. For dinner, I was not transported compared to the first time. But this does not deserve criticism because tastes and colors are unique to each person: combination of trout and geranium, lobster and grapefruit (average for me) and cabbage (favorite). For dinner I just regretted that for the pigeon we didn 't ask for cooking and that we didn 't specify that it was very, very spicy. In conclusion, the experience inoculated me for a moment."
