"to the happiness there are still the places or restaurants that do not have to reinvent themselves or want. in the hose seems to be the time to stand - but it is pleasing that this is still possible in the middle of zürich! eating is very good, always organic and always of the same, good quality. apart from the sweet soup, whose content you can only guess hard and which is almost always too cold! it is still recommended to choose one of the three menus offered, because after the (usually cold) suppe follows a fine salad and afterwards an honest main dish. the lens curry this evening was delicious! the weeping and the weeping are pleasingly favorable (you remember: we are in the middle of zürich!,) the service is very friendly! we hope that there will be the hose even in 40 years!"

I chose the menu. fine calfs sobuco with polenta, cauliflower and an excellent sauce. to finish, I was able to make a fine mimic with bioglace and cream. the service was excellent and unobtrusive. Unfortunately there are fewer and less of these old-eating bites.

This restaurant has a nice selection of good things to eat and drink. A lot of dishes have been on the menu for years. I like the calm atmosphere and the diverse crowd that frequents this place. If you like great healthy food (including vegetarian)...and if you're not in a rush I really recommend stopping by at the Schlauch. Ver carta

One of my top places to eat in Zurich. The price is very fair. The food is healthier than normal restaurant food, it tastes really homemade. Always a good vegi option available and I like to see the quirky mix of clientele. Everyone I have...taken there has enjoyed it and wanted to go back again. You wouldn't even notice it when walking through Niederdorf so it's somewhat of an insider's secret.

in the middle of the village an old cafe with good bourgeois food and a large dessert card! many bioproducts. the service is attentive and speditiw! many masters who took their meals to part themselves in the kitchen and kept a faggot. in the back half of the room are billiard tables - cool (although I lost against a more than 70-year-old woman...).To slip away and/or very suitable for a partie pool billiard!

I frequently visit the Schluuch/Schlauch to play some pool. The entrance to the restaurant is a bit tricky to find as it lays in a corner and then one got to walk up some stairs. The restaurant is very old fashioned and so is the furniture. On two floors one can play pool and there are always some free tables. The menu is rather small and did not please me at all. I like bio-products very much but i did not like what had been on my plate. I would not go there to eat but I would recommend the pool table part of the place.

Entering this restaurant tucked in the old town of Zurich gave me an impression that time stands still in this corner of the world. And I mean it in a good way. Here, everybody can enjoy good organic food at moderate prices in an atmosphere where conversations are possible without being disturbed by a background music or a fast-paced operation. I enjoyed my fish with brown rice and sweet potatoes. But quite disappointed with the vermicelles, a chesnut based dessert, which is one of my favorite desserts, as the meringues were missing. In general, the dinner was gemuetlich.

"My recent visit to Edi's Pizzeria in downtown Zurich was an absolute delight from start to finish. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that truly set the tone for the entire experience. "This is my fav Italian joint in Zurich. La Famiglia Tremonte is a small, family run cafe-restaurant that serves excellent and authentic Italian food at prices that are low compared to the norm in Zurich.Famiglia Tremonte is rather inconspicuously located at the corner of Zurlindenstrasse and Birmensdorferstrasse, a couple of doors away from The Desperado Mexican Restaurant. You might need to look for it a little: I lived practically next door and did not notice it for almost a year, and even then a friend had to point it out to me.The restaurant is mostly a takeout with very little seating, i.e. 7 people inside, and when the weather is goo, about 5 people outside. The ambience is basic but, like most things in Switzerland, the interiors are very clean. Staff and service are very goo. The food here is awesome! Authentic Italian fare that is probably heavily influenced by Sicilian tradition since that is where the family is from. I used to visit almost every day because the food tastes great and the prices are so low for Zurich. I have tried almost everything: several pasta dishes, polpettine, stuffed bell peppers, meatloaf, piadina, and of course, the fabulously tasty and hot chilli infused EVOO. I enjoyed every dish I ordered. Great stuff! I strongly recommend the super-hot chilli infused EVOO as a seasoning for almost all dishes, but especially the pasta dishes that come in a cream sauce. Please be careful with chilli EVOO: 0.5 tbsp. for noobs, and a max. of 2 tbsp. for those who like it hot. The chilli EVOO, when used appropriately, adds great flavour to your dish. The piadina is the best I have eaten - period. I have been all over the world, spent a lot of time in Italy and New York (: great place for Italian food lovers :), and I still think this is the best piadina ever. They also serve some nice Italian desserts -- I've tried a few but have forgotten the names. They also have a small selection of Italian ingredients for sale. I bought the pesto and was happy with it. You also get a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic Italian drinks to go with the food.Prices are relatively low by Zurich standards: I rarely ever ate for more than CHF 15, and if I skipped the drinks it was usually around CHF 10. Of course, this varies a bit according to what you order.Highly recommended. Glad I found this place. Great for office workers in the vicinity."
