"Driving the famous A3 from Italy or Salzburg to Munich to the North, Frankfurt, Ruhrgebiet, Netherlands or whatever, or the other way round, just south of Würzburg, take a break at a really genuine, cozy, high-quality Franconian restaurant! Take exit Würzburg-Randersacker and go to the village of that name; the Spiegelberg is easy to find and there is parking close by. A very short drive, but you are as far from the Autobahn as can be. As has been said here, excellent Franconian cuisine in an ambiance that people always hope for but then there are more tourists than locals. Not here! Great old guest room, great wines, great dishes. I would recommend especially the Zwiebelfleisch which I anyway like and which they do great. The owner is very friendly and the staff nice as well. Prices are not cheap but absolutely reasonable. The one thing I would not recommend is the terrace if you're a non-smoker. It is basically used as the smoking refuge of the restaurant, and it's not fun to sit there."

"eating is ok service very disappointing and unimaginable. 2. Round drinks ordered after 30 min, they did not come to what we wanted to pay the man, explained to us that he could not cancel them because he otherwise had to pay them himself because the drinks were already gifted. we then agreed to take this to wait only 15 minutes. but we also explained that we would like to pay anyway. my daughter (2 years) wanted an egg. Answer from the service “if I have time” they did not get her ice! our drinks were empty, we had not yet paid. we demanded to return the bill that was quite unfriendly, which means that we had to calculate 9 people with 4 hammer blocks everything with the calculator. now we will no longer harass the hearts with our desires."

"Nice hotel with clean rooms. The bathroom seemed to be freshly renovated, the room itself had an older charm, but well suited to the overall concept. Breakfast was good and there was a lot of choice. The restaurant was also good and recommended. Staff friendly and accommodating. Meeting rooms can also be booked on request."

"We sat on Terasse (street)Lärm, from which others wrote, we could hardly perceive. The ambience lies between original and cozy, the art of the kitchen offers a level that I would wish in a perfect of all normal inns. The service was friendly and accommodating and after a negligent mistake was immediately offered a coffee on the house or another digestive apparatus. The cows are quite suspicious and rightly identified as a recommendation in the Michelin leadership. For both, the dressings offer something for the eye without being overcrowded and the taste offers good and harmonizing nuances of each product. (Rehcarpaccio scored through the individual components, the truffle swamp actually truffle and not only oil and also the acidic frying was delicate and had a specially set sauce recognizable). The price, which is quite higher than in the traditional inn with the 9.80 EUR court, can still be seen. Those who want to eat good and tasty want excellent products on the plate and want to enjoy service and ambience (what exactly wants to be paid), also have to be ready for more price! The Gasthof Schiff combines successful food at a good value for money!"
