Schumann's - Carta

We made a reservation, but when we arrived, the owner, who looked very tired and old because of the heat, ignored us and welcomed two people who arrived at least five minutes after us. At the time he came up to us and we informed him we had made a reservation, he shouted in an agressive way: das ist mir scheiss egal! And he ran away. So we never had dinner there, unfortunately.

We had a reservation upstairs at Les Fleurs du Mal. Two terrific and one very original cocktails (buttermilk margarita! ; a very knowledgeable bartender; very well done short menu for two; and, a very reasonable 65 Euro. We were at 7:30 and was just getting going....Very sophisticated and up-scale crowd it would be hopeless without a reservation. We were treated very professionally and warmly. Not for a large group.

My fault ... I expected too much of a place like this. We went there without reservation but there was some free space at the bar, which was fine.... until we wanted to order our drinks ... the service of the guys at the bar...is really bad. They gave us the feeling, we were not existing ... seems they had already too many other customers on that evening. Finally one guy felt responsible for us and took our order ... The place has a weird atmosphere ... we won’t come back. Too many other better choices nearby....... Ver carta

we visited the place with a friend at the weekend, for coffee and late breakfast. we have 2 capuchino, a hot chocolate, a cheese and ham toast and a cheesecake. the coffee was very good, the toast was amazing and the cheesecake best I tasted. it is a small city bar, minimal, very tasteful. service was fast and professional. and the price was approx. 22€, which was excellent for the quality of the products. I will definitely visit the place again and recommend it to anyone who goes after a bite for a quick coffee and bite.

where should I start? worst bar experience they can imagine. the bar delicate david massiw rude and grim looking. starting pouring out drinks (compari) from a strange unmarked bottle that had a big dead fly in it that was poured into our glass. he saw it, and went away. we saw the plane and told him about it. he stopped the drinks and let us sit there for 5 minutes until another employee went on. the other staff looked angry at david. other customers received their compari from a normal label bottle. certainly had problems with foreigners. So I'd go back.

The worst cocktail experience ever!we sat at the bar and ordered two cocktails. David, the bartender, showed no interest whatsoever in serving us (foreigners and had the most disrespectful and unprofessional attitude while making cocktails. He poured alcohol from an unlabelled bottle and when I...showed him that from that he was also pouring a fly, without saying a word he started a new drink and walked away. Another colleague passed by and annoyed asked who left the drinks incomplete. Daniel mumbled something and let him do the rest of the work. First visit in Munich. Dropped by Tuesday night on a tip of a friend and it was packed. Found seats in the bar. Servers might come off as snobbish but they were not. I guess their outward demeanour comes with the ambience of the place. My wife had great cocktails on the suggestions of Marco and Felix, excellent barmen. Instead of going out on a Friday night to another resto, I decided last minute to go to Schumann's and see the dinner experience. Hotel got as reservations at 7 which I changed to 9 last minute. Making the reservation was easy enough, we were promised a nice table in the garden. Upon arriving waiting 15 minutes past reservation time because one waiter apparently did not want us to sit at the free table in his area. He was rude and when...asked for a sake, of which the menu had at least 4, he said he would not serve this. Choose something else. The food came fast enough great to have a German menu for English guests and nobody helpful to translate but it was clear why: it was cold. Bar was recently rated as a 43 bar in a list of the World Best bars 2019 completion, which made my curious checking it out. Interior is quite simple. Spacious huge common space, nice ambient music, not loud(yea, at 6pm, and still almost fully booked ...As for experience: Firstly, I had to draw waiter’s attention to get seated, more than once. Even that I came right at the opening time. When I finally got seated waiter kept acting condescendingly and acting as if being in a rush not letting me keep reading the menu trying to take it away.
