Once again a stunning meal and the staff are great. I rate this restaurant extremely highly. It is a great change from Italian food and is definitely Japanese at its best, fresh and tasty and beautifully presented. Ver carta

My wife wanted rice and we tried out this second sushi restaurant in Sorrento. The first sushi restaurant Misaki sushi was a real one. This one was not. At least what we ordered was more like a risotto did sh. Good but far from sushi and similar food. Fast and efficient service.

I found the whole experience at Re-up/Shabu to be great. The cocktail list was very inventive and reasonably priced. The portion sizes were a lot bigger than I expected and the service was friendly and professional. They were even happy to pack up our last plate because we were so full.

When in Sorrento, if you need a break from Pizza and Pasta, eat here. Good sushi, rice, chicken, shrimp dishes and edamame appetizers. Our teens really loved the dumplings. The servers are painfully nice helpful but the kitchen does seem a little slow. (One of our four meals took much longer than the other thee one night. This restaurant is located inside of ReUp, which is listed as a tapas restaurant. We were surprised to find menus for Shabu Japanese on the table, but decided to stay and eat because we had been searching for a restaurant for some time. The chicken katsu (panko breaded fried chicken cutlets) was very good. We also ordered 3 sushi rolls. Fish seemed fresh and combinations were good but the rice was overcooked and too cold.

This place is also called REUP bar. It is famous for its cocktails and Japanese sushi. We took the tempura dish and a couple of sushi rolls. All in all a good experience, the only down side is it's really expensive! Each roll costs 8-9 euros! More than a big pizza tray. And in order to be satisfied, you would need to spend much more than in an Italian restaurant. We were so fed up with pizza and pasta we preferred that to anything else.

I had read the reviews from other visitors and seeking a change from the albeit excellent Italian food in Sorrento and having eaten sushi at various other excellent places around the world, we decided to try Shabu. At first impression, from the outside, it doesn't look so impressive but we weren't deterred and stuck with it and took a table inside. The interior is an unusual mix of industrial ducting and concrete with various old doors that have been hung on the wall as decoration; very Interesting. What really caught my eye though was the shelves behind the bar which contained a huge variety of different bottles of spirits and I knew instantly that they must have a good mixologist! We check...
