Shah Of Persia - Carta

Wondaful food , all very nicely cooked to perfection- well done Mike , service with a smile and arrived hot to to the table

we went in just because of the pubs name as I read a lot about shah of Persia, good food and great service, Keep it up Persian shah.

We stayed at the Shah while spending a couple of days in Poole. Evening dinner was great, we had the cod and burger, and both were delicious. The breakfast the next day was very good , all served promptly. The room we stayed in was very comfortable , and the bath towels were huge. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The staff were so accommodating. 4 ladies on a road trip spending lots of time talking and catching up, we were able to space out each course of our meals so we could enjoy hours of talking. Extra tea and milk was no problem. We swapped bits on the menu and nothing was a problem. Rooms were clean comfortable and newly refurbished. Car park was large so no problem parking .

Great services from all the lovely staff, we stayed for a night with my family so we had fabulous experience . Delicious dinner and very comfortable beds at night. So clean. Warm and causey room to relax . Yummy breakfast we had day after and very welcoming staff specially Courtney who volunteer to be our photographer as we did loved the name of the pub and decided to take some photos from outside and inside we definitely come back for our next break.

I had a bad experience last visit and I commented accordingly. I was asked to return to give them a 'second chance '. This time, with a big thank you to Hayden and his team and the manager who unfortunately I have forgotten the name we were made to feel very welcome. The food was excellent, my wife had the aged sirloin on 'steak night ' and it was cooked superbly (medium rare). I had the ridiculously large and tasty chicken burger. I will definitely be returning again and would recommend to all 'give them a go, no Michelin stars, but great food, value for money and welcoming atmosphere. Ver carta

Fantastic Service We often eat at the Shah of Persia as it is our local pub, and we have never been disappointed. The staff are amazing and very friendly. We would love to say a big thank you to all the staff in particular to both Colin and Carly for all the fantastic service and professionalism and nothing is too much trouble, even when they are rushed off their feet! The food is great and definitely good value for money and the menu has improved with a good range of choice for everyone’s tastes. Stayed for 4 nights in this hotel, rooms were clean and tidy, everything worked and the bed was comfortable. We had breakfast every morning in the pub and the breakfasts were excellent and served by a charming young lady who was a credit to Marstons. We had the days discounted offer each night and the food was excellent, plentiful and well presented. Beer was very good. Prices were very competitive for the Poole area and I thought I was getting value for money. The hotel gas a large well lit car park. We stayed a couple of nights and check in was very good. Very straightforward and informative. Check out was very swift too and the lady I gave the key to was lovely. I 've rated it 3/5 because the room is very tired. I know it 's an old building and we 've just come out of COVID but I feel a big company like Marston 's can do a little better. The corridor from the night entrance didn 't look like it had been hoovered for a while. Panelling coming off in the bathroom, bottoms of bedside cabinets not dusted and window frames dirty.
