Disappointing service was excellent but food average. Not impressed by cheap wine glasses! Waiters on the other hand were amusing and helpful. Expensive for what we had.

Can't fault this place. I'd wanted Langoustines the whole trip and this was one of our final stops before we finish the NC500 and it was perfect. Some may feel its higher priced but it's worth the money.

Food excellent and lovely friendly service. We went on a Sunday and hadn’t realised they do a Sunday roast but it did run out at about 6:30. Fish we had was amazing and the seafood chowder was fantastic. Ver carta

we were a bit disappointed overall. we expected a limited winter menu, which it was, but we weren't that impressed with either the service, which was sort of ok, the choices or what we ended up ordering. it wasn't bad, it just wasn't good

Nc500 highlight we have just returned from doing the NC500 and have to say shielding was the hidden gem off the trip fresh seafood and local fisherman in the bar telling the story what more could you want. Thank you again for a lovely visit

this restaurant of the coast kitchen in shieldaig is actually the only one in this small fishing village on the west coast of the Scottish highlands. it is a small place, and the kitchen prepares local specialities and many seafood dishes from the beginning of the day. it is also the ideal place for a drink in the evening, a perfect place to sit on the terrace overlooking the sea! I went for a meal this evening with my family. The food took over an hour to arrive. I ordered the vegan burger, and when it eventually did arrive I asked again if it was vegan and they reassured me that it was, the burger was not vegan it was meat. I haven't eaten meat for over 25 years. I am so upset and angry, wondering if I can sue them! They said they got the order mixed up! Not good enough!

This place is great for dinner. We have eaten here a few times and it never fails to disappoint. The smoked salmon starter, crayfish starter and soup were absolutely amazing, and stated delicious. There was a large specials board filled with local fish, local produce, and homemade pies. There were plenty of vegetarian options, and lots of local food which we loved. I had a seafood tagliatelle and it was amazing. The staff were attentive, polite, kind and professional. There’s outside seating on the loch, and a terrace above the restaurant. The bar below has a great selection of wines, beers and spirits, and the whole bar and restaurant had a lovely buzz about it, busy with locals and tourist...

I was there with a party of 5 including a 7 year old child. We waited 1hr and 20minutes for our food to arrive which in its self is unacceptable. There was no communication about late running from the staff whatsoever. Further to this we had a vegan in our party. I ordered a beef burger special and she ordered a vegan burger. I had tried this beyond meat burger myself and recommended it to her. The food came and we were very hungry so tucked in. We double checked with the waiter if the cheese and mayo on the vegan burger was definitely vegan too and were assured that it was.
