"We went for a family meal to celebrate a special event. We have eaten here several times before and were always impressed with the quality of the food. On this occasion we were eating late in the evening due to other commitments. Some of the food was disappointing. I ordered the lamb tikka biryani. When it arrived, it was clearly chicken not lamb! The rice was very dry and it came with a spicy sauce rather than a vegetable curry. I ate about a third of it. One of the other meals was not particularly inspiring and did not match the promised description. The service was very good, although we did feel the staff were waiting for us to finish as we were the last customers there. In all, we have been a little put off returning to what was one of our favourite places to eat and I am not sure we could recommend it to others despite having done so in the past."

It used to be good authentic Indian but now it seems they also have adapted and made the food sweeter and milder. Paneer makhani wad far too sweet.

What joke why are you on open table if you don’t check the reservation emails. Turned up and got turned away because they “don’t get those emails”. Disappointing. Remove them from open table please!!

The food and service were great however the restaurant did not have details of our reservation! I had a confirmation from Open Table but they had not notified the restaurant. Thankfully the restaurant was pretty quiet and they could fit us in. This is the second time I have had the same issue with Open Table and I won't be using it again to make a reservation.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and was very pleased with the experience. The food truly reflects authentic Indian cuisine (with the right level of spiciness, proper samosas made with the right pastry, fantastic light and flavorful biryani, and a well-prepared vindaloo that has the perfect touch of bitterness). We tried the chili flower starter, which was new to us, and it was outstanding! Unlike some city center Indian restaurants that have gone for a fusion and sweetened approach, this place serves genuine Indian food. I will definitely be back.
