"six of us visited the restaurant for a meal before we watched the tribute band talon. we all had a wonderful meal (food method), but we found the service a little as when eating in the fawlty towers, we found it amusing and it did not pamper. our meal, but the servier staff did not seem to have a hint. if I was a betting man, I would suspect that most of them were new) to be at play, forget some of the drinks, do not supply glasses for the wine, lack of necessary cutlery, eat brought to various times, etc. eating and drinking was a high standard and it was enjoyed by everyone. (braised beef, whitby scampi, spicy noodles). we also thought that the last bill is very reasonable because the amount of food and alcohol we consume. the restaurant is now called uptro and we will definitely eat a pre theatre again the next time when we participate in a show in the mechanics. we would definitely recommend this restaurant."

Visited the restaurant for PRE- show diner. Limited menu, food was average. Staff were attentive but clearly some new staff who were uncertain as to what they were going. It’s convenient for dinner before a show but not a gastronomic delight.

Now, what can I say I really missed this place when it was closed due to lockdown, would recommend doing for lunch and pre-theaters, both have done. we have a nice lunch today, we had the seasonal turkey Leek-Pieee with local...fresh season veg and chip, it was absolutely first class, also good value for money. I met my wife for lunch here after hearing many good things. I have to admit, it was really nice. I had the fish and chips and it was fantastic. my wife had a club sandwich and it looked great and she said it was really nice. the meal was with a pint beer and a soft drink around it is very favorable. I'm going back to the finals.

My wife and I went yesterday (Friday November) and had a meal in connection with watching a show. at night. We both had a Pot Steak&Ale Pie and it was not good at all. The little bit of meat that was in it was...fatty and it was far too much gravy (which should have been served in a jug separately in our opinion). We also found it far too expensive for the value of what we had, both the food and the wine. Admittedly the chips were good, and so was the large cup of coffee and very pleasant staff so these factors mean we give it instead of
