Smuggler's Inn - Carta

I dined at this restaurant approximately 2 years ago and it remains one of my top choices for dining out. I absolutely adore this place and will without a doubt return for another meal. Highly recommended!

Lovely pub that has loads of outdoor seating. Dogs allowed inside pub. Fantastic menu with lots of vegan options all clearly labelled. The BBQ tempeh was amazing. Really friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Went here for a family celebration with high expectations, wasn’t disappointed as the staff were brilliant and it was a beautiful scene but it could have gone better in terms of options and still came away hungry Ver carta

Couple of food options, I don’t believe it should be on happy cow as it provides the same option 90% of pubs do that aren’t on Happy Cow. Curry and Vegan burger. Not great either. Updated from previous review on 2024-07-06

The staff are friendly efficient. The vegan options are brilliant. Try the Veggie Bhaji Burger, so delicious. It’s well managed during Covid 19, with a strict a very sensible system. You do everything on your mobile book, order pay.

I was very let down when I arrived at the restaurant for Sunday lunch, even though I had booked a table well ahead of time. I was told that they had sold out of all the meats for the roast special, so I had to choose from the regular menu instead. Ver carta

A fantastic location and a very atmospheric pub. Friendly and helpful staff who rectified any issues immediately and with good grace and professionalism. Sunday lunch was a bit average, but the food is not the main attraction here. Would still recommend others to visit and would probably go back again but maybe make different menu choices.

Lovely pub right on the coast. Was fully booked when I arrived, so worth making reservations if driving from far. The amazing staff squeezed me in for a quick burger with sweet potatoes chips. The burger came a little over cooked and therefore slightly dry. Was an alright burger for a hungry person, typically English pub meal. Satisfied and on with my adventures.

While the service and friendliness at this restaurant were exceptional, the Sunday roasts left much to be desired. The beef was tough and difficult to chew, and the pork was mostly fat with little meat. On a positive note, the vegetables and desserts were enjoyable. The prawn cocktail was a unique dish, and the whitebait was tasty. Overall, the dining experience was not great, especially since I was treating my friends. Ver carta
