"May 2014 It's been a few weeks since we stayed in the area around Garmisch Partenkirchen for a few days, but this restaurant was our absolute favorite place, which we visited on two days in a row, so enthusiastic we were at our first visit. We came here by chance. In the evening we were looking for a cozy restaurant with local cuisine in the area of Garmisch Partenkirchen and so we drove towards Mittenwald. Unfortunately, the weather was too indefinite to run from the Dörflealm to the Gschwandnerbauer. On the way to Mittenwald we had already noticed this place on the left of the road, but first we wanted to take a look at Mittenwald and the Karwendel Mountains, which gave the clouds temporarily free this Alpine panorama. We owed the glacialists that snow covered the slopes. Since we spontaneously found nothing in the middle of the forest, we drove back. The property already made a very good impression on the outside, some vehicles stood before it. When we entered, we were kindly greeted and could choose one of us. At the same time we received the card and our drinks requests were already received. The map offers deftige good bourgeois and Alpine cuisine. During our first visit we chose lambs and calfshaxe, during the second visit spanner and duck. The meat was tender and juicy and the crust was as crispy as we have never experienced. We're still getting into it when we think about the cozy evenings. The separately served supplements to the respective dishes perfected the culinary delight. In addition, there was a delicious and sweet beer. Cosy Alpine ambience as well as a very friendly and carefree service in the Dirndl ensured that we felt absolutely and completely satisfied in the cosy restaurant. From time to time, the chicken on the railroad, which swells through juicy green meadows between Garmisch and Mittenwald, past the road ... Alpenidyll pur ... : The price performance ratio is absolutely harmonious here. The dishes were between 10 and 13 € per person. There is no question that we will, of course, return here once we come back to the region! The restaurant is one of our favorites. Update May 2016: This time we wanted not only to dine, but also to stay overnight to take the location as a hotel. So we booked an overnight stay here at the end of our stay in the area. The dishes were again excellently prepared. We got a wonderfully large room on the first floor assigned with a very muggling wooden skybed, a second bed, small hallway and a bathroom with tub and shower, balcony. It was a family room for 4 people, which we used for two. We decided spontaneously for the cozy bed with the bedlinen, whose mattress proved uninhabited hard overnight. Also otherwise, unfortunately, a few minor deficiencies scratched us a little, such as cigarette smoke, which entered through a window scoring, two small dead insects in the bathtub, which I quickly removed with the help of toilet paper. A view of the room by the staff before the room would have helped to avoid this. A pretty horror rushed us as a very vigilant shepherd sat right in front of the bathroom window when we opened it. As I know myself with dogs, especially with shepherd dogs, I knew that any false movement would call the watchful, very skeptical three-looking dog on the plan. So we first talked to the dog soothingly, but he did not look at us and read it out of sight. Then I quickly closed the window, as a movement came into the dog, and this uff that we were barking, just in time. He would've jumped through the window and set us up. This reminded me of the encounter with the shepherd dog of an acquaintance who once hired me during training at the dog's court, because he probably had confused something. ; I'm not afraid of shepherds, but the vigilant, untechnological guy could have told us before, then we would have just tipped the window, instead of opening it completely to the air. The night was restless. Whenever I was asleep, the dog hit because of other guests moving on the property. Sometime later, however, this side was calm. Then again a train of the Garmisch Mittenwald railway line came by and when then the rail traffic wobbled, the passing cars and trucks remained. In the morning, the boss was not as good as the day before. Whether she had a bad night? The nice service from the eve had no service yet. In comparison with what we had been offered in the last hotels, breakfast was also rather sweet. The number of rolls was allocated, some of them were packaged in portions. For the hotel performance, I can therefore easily forgive only 3 stars, so that I have on a total of 4 constellations rounded off the previous 5 which I have given taking into account only the gastronomic performance. Conclusion: I would go to dinner again and again, but I would not want to spend a longer holiday here. That is why I feel too restless. But it was okay for an overnight stay."

The two owners of the Krüner Stuben meet with their employees the house with life and joy. The young children also offer a boost and entertainment. They've been here on Saturday noon. It was just a table free. We recommended the 1/2 duck with blue herb and dumplings and we agreed spontaneously. It was a tasteful top bang: super tender, red crispy crust and the blue herb very well tasted. A dumpling alone seemed a bit different in color and taste (maybe from the eve? It wasn't world-wide. On the map all favourite foods of the Germans seem to be concentrated. You could eat the card up and down. We'll do that, too, because here we felt comfortable.
