A very good place to eat a good steak. The food was good, but the staff was impeccable. The platings were very good and the restaurant very clean.

Very delicious, friendly team! City walls themselves are inconspicuous, looks small from outside, but the interiors are spacious. The menu is well tuned and there is something for every taste. The restaurant is also suitable for evening events with good friends!

Incredible food and service. Everything is fresh with quick service. Great staff, would recommend to all even if in Dortmund for 1 day. My partner made the comment that it was the best steak he has ever had. Great hospitality. 10/10 we will definitely return again.

I nipped into the Stadewäldchen to grab a quick bite to eat, following my hotel's recommendation. The glowing reviews I briefly checked online had me expect a posh restaurant, but it wasn't. It is a normal restaurant, not outstanding, but not bad either. My Cordon Bleu was a bit on the dry side, but generally good, along with a generous portion of fried potatoes. The service was good. All in all, the Stadewäldchen appeared to be average. Ver carta

From our arrival to leaving, the staff and especially Edo, the owner was so helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much to do for us, We had people whose dietary needs were fully accomodated as if was no bother. I have to use a wheelchair and although it's not wheelchair accessible, Edo went out of his way to assist me to a chair. The food is excellent. So much of it too! Beautifully cooked and presented and extremely tasty. Thank you Edo and all of your amazing staff.

In Dortmund for one night after visiting Moviepark during the day. Wanted to find something German and non chain, and we made a great choice. My son and I both had steak. I had the rump medium, and it was cooked beautifully. My son had a ' funny bosnian'. This was a steak with ham and cheese in the middle. It was a hearty meal with plenty of chips. Both meals came with a salad bar. Felt a bit underdressed, as had shorts on. However, still made welcome. Meals were about twenty euros each, and well worth it!

We are in Dortmund for business and it's very close to our hotel, the concierge recommended this place and we have been here three times already in the same visit! The schnitzel is great and the steak with cheese amazing! The potatoes croquettes also are great and French fries outstanding! The tall blonde gentleman that serves you is the most kind and charming person and also the owner that works undercover, so beware!The desserts are my fave part but this was outstanding, it's a fried crepe with a vanilla sauce and vanilla ice cream! Ufff uffff!The treat of the night that you can't miss was a home made liquor with pear and schnapps served hot. Great place to visit and a repeat a few times!... Ver carta
