Fabulously tasty takeaway... King prawn chilli garlic starter was amazing huge juicy prawns in a not too spicy sauce so didn't overpower the prawn. Chicken madras with mushroom pilau Mmm, I'd say it was the best pilau I've ever ate. Lovely chunks of chicken breast., couldn't fault it.

We have been using Spice Bay for a couple of years now and have never been disappointed. Their app makes it easy to place your order, and the food is consistently top-notch and fresh. Additionally, the generous portions, quality packaging, and attention to detail make this our preferred choice in the area.

I had a takeaway dinner that I believe was one of the worst I've ever had. The chicken biryani had no flavor, hardly any chicken, and was missing the omelette. I was shocked at how poorly it was made. The vegetable curry sauce was bland and tasteless. The onion bhaji starter was greasy and unpleasant. With so many other local options, I will not be ordering from this restaurant again. Ver carta

We got a take away from them tonight, it is the last Saturday before New Years Eve so we expected delays, it literally got 1 minute past the due time and we had a call from the restaurant giving us an honest update and apology for the delay and we were blown away... this kind of service really goes the extra mile and is very rare. We have ordered a few times before and always been really impressed with the food! Highly recommended!

I have been ordering takeout from this restaurant for about a year now. The deliveries have always been prompt and friendly, and the food has consistently been excellent. However, in the last couple of months, they have started using frozen chips for some reason. It may seem like a small issue, but it does make a difference in the overall quality. I will be exploring other takeout options for my Saturday night meals moving forward.

take way-ordered and paid for meal in shop to be delivered to my home. delivery man arrived with meal, said i had to pay. refused, he said i had to ring the sho-in your dreams pal, he left and then discovered he had left wrong back, i got someone's on line order. rang shop. later, delivery man comes back, hands me lukewarm meal, about a third of it missing! rang shop. said boss would ring me to make amends. guess what, no call received. Ordered for delivery on a sat night. The food was quite good. Maybe a bit muddled in that the chicken tikka balti was hotter in spice than the jalfrezzi which had been ordered for that reason. As we had ordered several dishes to all share it was of little consequence. It would have been a bit disappointing if the person who reqested the balti dish had no others to choose/share as it was very heavy on chilli heat. Will order again as the rest was very nice and see if that was a one off error.

Me and my dad ordered a takeaway after visiting my mam in hospital. For convenience I ordered on just eat and chose a time to collect. I got a text to say my meal was ready for collection at the exact time I wanted to collect our meal, however it was not ready when I arrived meaning I had to wait a long time in the shop before I was given my meal. We have been to the spice bay many times and enjoyed many meals however this time the meals were very disappointing! I had intended to get a takeaway from Ujala in Station Road, but found that it had closed. Spice Bay was right in front of me, so in I went. So, I ignored the broken front windows, the crazy mis matched decor, the dull lighting and the three week old newspapers strewn on the table at the waiting area. I studied the menu and was impressed by the choice of dishes available. I chose mine and was told it would be about 15 minutes. This gave me time to read TripAdvisor reviews on this takeaway which was new to me this experience is always a bit of a gamble but the reviews seemed favourable.
