Ssam Korean Barbeque

Have the BBQ it's so much fun especially when the flume doesn't work properly. The staff were really friendly and made the night good fun. Book a table in advance as it can get busy.

SSAM is my destination for a healthy tasty filling meal. It's a bit pricey but totally worth it. A funky place to be. Very nice-helpful staff. You can also grill your own food. Cash only.

The food was very good and fresh, service was super friendly and accommodating, we ordered the meat and the pork belly and some ribs. All served directly to the table and cooked (bbq) in your table.

I'm a korean living in Berlin and their kimchi jjigae really hits the spot for me especially on a cold Berlin day. I also buy kimchi from here when I'm too lazy to make it myself:) Always fresh tasty (and free!) banchans and friendly service. Recommended!

Die Kellner waren etwas überfordert wohl oder haben einfach nicht auf uns geachtet.Das Essen allerdings war sehr sehr lecker. wir hatten das bbq, was sich allerdings erst richtig mit mehreren Leuten lohnt. Denn es sind jetzt auch nicht sehr große Platten, was den Preis für Berlin schon teurer macht vergleichsweise.

As a foreword, I should mention that during university I spent my semester abroad in Seoul, so I know what authentic Korean food tastes like. This restaurant comes very very close, if not even hitting home! I was here with friends who have never eaten Korean food before and we had a blast. The food was excellent and the staff attentive. Would recommend to anyone who wishes to experience real Korean Food!

Had dinner with a business colleague here on his suggestion. The selection of food was good but thought it was a little expensive seeing as you had to cook it yourself ;) All good as he paid ;) Had pork and a seafood plate and calamari starter. The calamari was pretty heavy on coating and oil so just ate the squid and abandoned the coating. Very friendly staff and nice vibes in the place. Nice area of town to be in with lots of bars and eateries around.

Era la primera vez que iba a un restaurante de este tipo y me pareció muy divertido. Pedimos unos entrantes y dos carnes para la BBQ. En los entrantes, las costillas de cerdo y la tempura de verduras estaban muy buenas. Para la BBQ nos trajeron una gran variedad de acompañamientos para la carne para hacernos nuestros propios Ssam. Este concepto me parece muy bueno para interactuar más durante la comida con los otros comensales, ya que la parrilla está en el centro de la mesa y hace de punto de conexión entre todos los que están sentados en ella. 100% aconsejable!!!

Food was amazing, I had the soup of the day which surprisingly was a prawns and mussels spicy broth type. I mean surprisingly because it was a really good price! Also ordered the seaweed and noodle rolls, these were six big rolls which we all enjoyed very much. For drink I had the mint, plum and honey hot tea which was the most amazingly drink I have ever had!The other people had the spicy pork and another dish with kimchi, they all liked it.They also served us some kimchi and other bits before food. Staff really friendly and efficient. Looking forward to my next visit.
