"We had a superb meal , 7 courses worth certainly at least one Michelin star. Food service and Ambiente were excellent, the setting is superb. Parts of the menu were very Asian style and quite hot. Mention it before ordering if you don't like that! However, we did :)All very good with EXCEPTION of the sommelier where we had the strangest experience EVER: Our second wine was not in good condition. We agreed on this with the sommelier who tasted it as well. He then took it out of the cooler and we ordered another bottle. All good until we received the bill with the "bad" wine on it. We then kindly asked what the reason was (as he took it off the cooler and we didnt drink the wine). At least we would have expected some explanation. The sommelier then answered "well then I take it off", took 75 EUR in cash out of the till and on the bar, then dashed off without any further word. Very very unprofessional. We left the open bottle and the money there and left bewildered.Although such a great restaurant, we will unlikely come back unless we hear back or this sommelier leaves the place. After all, Deidesheim is THE wine place and all is about the great wines here !"

I have been to this place many times over the years and the food although of very good quality has often been mediocre at best for me or my company. Oh, and forget access to the internet. Unknown here!"

"Been many many times both for business, wife and family, probably 50 times including lunch and dinner over the time we 've been local. But now noticing issues the last couple of times and especially the most recent 2. Now we all know that this site,...and others, are opinions and not the only information to take notice of, but over the last approx 4 years the Hof has been steadily sinking down the list. Years ago it was the go too number 1 in quality and service, sadly no longer in my experience. Food still above average, but the overall experience is easily bettered, especially by smaller more modest venues. And, as always its the small points that are a disappointment, we had a table for 3, during deciding we had to ask for a third menu as only 2 were brought, we all ordered and asked for some drinks, 2 came and we waited 5 minutes for the third guests drink. Similar when our main courses came, one at a time, by different staff who were confused as to who ordered what dish. Hardly a personal service. The main waitress was extremely hectic rushing around many tables constantly. Maybe they are getting up to speed after the issues in recent months, but we will give this place a rest until we here from our friends and colleagues its back to standard."

"we were free day with 4 people eating. our reserved table was beautifully decorated, there were the menus and the desire for drinks was asked. the service was very dedicated, polite and was competently available for the choice of wine. the food was fantastic! the appetizer (gratinated goat cheese) was delicious and the salat tasted wonderfully. as main dishes we had red-bellied fillets and ochsenbäckchen and maishuhn - and everything was of excellent quality! the ochsenbäckchen are good for kneeling down!. and that dessert also did not have to hide - we were all full and satisfied, and that at a really good price-performance ratio!"

"Wir waren dort mit einer größeren Gruppe und alle waren mit der Qualität des Essens sehr zufrieden. Ich hatte Ribeye Steak medium rare gebraten und das war spektakulär gut. Außen knusprig, innen roter Kern, super zart, super Geschmack.Das Ambiente ist rustikal, aber eher einfach/ursprünglich/authentisch. Bedienung freundlich, aber das Essen kommt zeitlich versetzt, was man bei einem kleinen Restaurant dieser auch nicht anders erwarten kann. Die Preise waren für das Gebotene sehr günstig.Klare Empfehlung!"
