food great would definitely stay here again, centrally situated within Shotts right by the railway station

Great for tasty quick food with good service. This restaurant was good value for money, service was quick and pleasant and the food was good without being too fancy.

Been to the Station for a Meal quite a few times always great service the Staff are always friendly Always get a lovely meal certain times of the year the Kids eat free with each paying Adult Great

Had a wonderful meal at the Station Hotel tonight. We were a party of 10 and clean plates all round was testimony to the great quality food served. Would recommend a visit if in the area. We'll done all the team.

Stayed over night for friends anniversary party on Saturday 27th November, was OK for a one night stay, room was very cold heating system was very low, dial just fell off as soon as you touched it. Room no7 felt like windows wasn't closed but it was so could hear motor traffic, with room being on front.

A very friendly welcome awaited us with a lovely lady helping my daughter in with the pram. QuickAnd attentive service and a good choice on the menu. The food was lovely and only fault was the portion were too large if you could call that a fault ! Great space, parking and good baby changing facilities. Highly recommend this lovely family run hotel for lunch, dinner, drinks and more. Super friendly staff and lovely food with a good varied choice on the menu and beautifully presented, also great value. It’s a lovely boutique environment, set in the countryside situated between Edinburgh and Glasgow, a real find and can’t wait to return soon for afternoon tea.

The food on offer is pretty good, although salad comes with most things, which is a problem if you can’t eat it, as despite advising the young server that I can’t, it came anyway. The mains came with potatoes instead of the chips we ordered which was quickly remedied by putting a bowl of chips on the table, which were delicious!The steak pie was as good as my mums which is praise indeed and the portions are generous The table staff were very friendly, polite, courteous and personable, the mistakes in the orders were minor in comparison.Why 3 stars not 5? Visited on a chilly Sunday evening and found restaurant a bit dark outside due to work taking place at nearby railway station but when inside found hotel warm and welcoming.Set menu on offer or an a la carte option also available.Drink order taken and delivered with a smile and we all went for the set menu option and with a reasonable choice for everyone to choose from.Homemade ministrone soup tasted and appeared to come straight out of a tin and the Haggis Fritters were soggy and quite bland in taste.Main courses delivered were steak pie with fresh veg and mash potato and fresh Haddock with chips and peas.Sorry steak pie was a pie lid with some stew and microwaved mash potato and frozen veg...
