"What can I say I have known chef Sean Jeffers since he was 16 washing up in our yacht club kitchen, he has gone leaps and ,bounds and beyond ,he and his team smashed it out the park tonight absolutely delicious food and great service .started with some snacks some beautiful parmesan, truffle ,onion jam doughnuts WOW,fresh crisp ,soft focaccia. Then came the starter slow cooked IOW beef crumpet ,onion jam horseradish parsley emulsion, stunning, for main I had the baked cod ,fish mouse tortellini, keta, leek jus , smoked bacon and for me the showstopper pickled mussels BEAUTIFUL...... The place to be ,the place to go the unforgettable Red lion of Freshwater 5 stars"

"We went to On The Rocks last night. It was great atmosphere and the staff were absolutely fantastic. They made us feel so welcomed. They looked after is really well. Ok now the food: the steak was fabulous. The quality of the meat and fish and prawns was top notch. The salad was really good and the fries seemed to be were of unlimited supply. Which made us all very happy. I really enjoy cooking my own steak on the rock. The manager explained everything to us clearly and gave us free shots after the meal. It was going down as one of the best nights in Yarmouth."

"Just wanted to say I loved the atmosphere last night. Clifford it was lovely to meet you . The staff were all lovely. Your coffees were great and you serve your cold drinks cold not lukewarm. That sounds obvious but many places either serve a lukewarm drink or a cold drink in a warm glass. I was surprised to find that the restaurant is roomier than I imagined ..Well Done on the first 10 years!"

"Delicious home made food, lovely atmosphere... Warm and cozy local pub. My wife had pheasant, I had Lamb Hotpot... Couple of local ales and we were truly satisfied. landlord was entertaining as were the locals .. we had a lovely spontaneous evening with some lovely people... Just how life should be Cheers!!! Food drinks: Home made food... Hotpot was delicious.. people raved about the pies. The pheasant was lovely. Atmosphere was great. Serving local ales and Gins also"

"Just had lunch at the Terrace today with some good friends. We were booked on a table outside on the terrace as we have a dog. I, was phoned by the restaurant yesterday and asked if we would be happy to move to a table indoors as the weather was looking as though it might be raining. I reminded them that we would have our dog with us, but they said, if the dog was well behaved we could bring him indoors too. So we had a table in the restaurant, the weather today did turn out to be rather thundery, and wet. We arrived and were shown to the table and were offered water for our dog. The menu was really good with a great selection of seafood, meat and vegetarian and vegan options. My wife and I chose scallops for a starter, which were delicious, our friends had pâté and crispy Cauliflower fritters. We all also chose different main courses, Pork steak with black pudding on a bed of parsley mash for me, sea bass with smashed new potatoes with crab meat for my wife, baked cod and a mushroom and truffle risotto for our friends. We all enjoyed our food, which was beautifully presented. The waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. Too full for a desert we all had coffee to finish. The bill when it came was very reasonable. We will definitely go back again."
