Sushi Tokiya - Carta

This small, authentic restaurant has some of the best Japanese food in London. It is family run by a lovely Japanese couple. The food comes when it is ready and very much worth waiting for as the chef is a perfectionist.

I went here for Valentine’s Day meal. The service was terrible and I had to continually catch the eye of the owner And I’m sorry to say the food was very bland and overpriced. I had high hopes for this restaurant but sadly I won’t be going back.

This cozy sushi bar, run by a Japanese couple, reminds us of our recent trip to Japan and is quite a compliment. Every dish is freshly prepared by the master chef, who has extensive experience. We have never had such good family-run sushi in London before! Ver carta

I've been to this restaurant twice, but unfortunately, I was not impressed. The owners, a lovely elderly Japanese couple, run the place, but it is expensive and the portions are small. I doubt they will last much longer. On a positive note, I did enjoy the small orange they served.

The food is so delicious and the service is good as well. We had the salmon teriyaki and also some chicken strips. Me and my boyfriend loved it. We also ordered japanese dumplings as starters and california and prawn tempura sushi. Everything was perfect!! Definitely coming back !!!

The sushi lunch and chicken and vegetables gyozas were delicious. The fish just melted in your mouth and the gyozas were crispy and very good. The place is simple but you come here for the sushi. They should provide more soya sauce though and not with extra charge. Apart from this I definitely like to come back for more food. Ver carta

As a family of 5 this is our favourite restaurant to visit locally. We all choose it as our birthday treat. It has a very personal feel for us, run by a husband and wife team. The fish is fresh and the sushi is made right in front of you if you want to watch. It is a small quiet space in a great location. We have loved everything we have eaten here and have been over 100 times. I encourage you to try this little gem.

I recently revisited this fantastic restaurant and once again, I believe it is the best Japanese food I have ever had. The quality of the fish is incredible and indescribable - you must taste it for yourself. We ordered the special sashimi, followed by rolls and nigiri. The white tuna was exceptional - simply wow. The gyoza was a classic and always a delicious choice. Many thanks to the Japanese owner and his wife for a wonderful dining experience.

I've been to this place so many times and it's been always amazing. We start with Special Sashimi, every single piece was perfect, really tasty. The best two ones were fatty tuna and scallops. After that Vegetable Gyoza and spicy scallop roll, then udon noodles. At the end green tea ice cream. During the dinner a bottle of Italian wine, Soave. It was very fresh and good. Service is the only thing that it could be better. Anyway this is the best Japanese I have ever tried. It's so close to the real Japanese. This restaurant is definitely recommended! Ver carta
