Swann Inn - Menú

Although we go fairly regularly to the White Swan and the Market Street Kitchen, this is the first time we experienced their Sunday lunch. As expected they did not disappoint and they good Sunday lunch to a new level absolutely delicious. Service as ever...first rate throughout. We are looking forward to the Autumn menu and our next visit.

The food and service at this restaurant are excellent. I enjoyed the sausage and mash dish, but my mum's steak was slightly undercooked, so I wouldn't recommend it. However, the desserts were fantastic! The textures were great and I appreciated the variety of options. The atmosphere is average, mainly due to the car park, but overall it was a great dining experience.

We visited recently to celebrate a special birthday and pre-ordered from the autumn menu. From start to finish service, food and wine were excellent. I could begin at the beginning of the meal with the wonderful bread and butter and go on through each and...every course saying the same but I would just be repeating myself. It was a dining experience that we will remember.

We came here to celebrate university results and were very pleased with our experience. From the moment we arrived we were well looked after and each member of staff took the time to talk to us and make us feel welcomed. The food tasted amazing.. the dishes are not something you see often and so was a really nice experience to taste a variety of flavours. Tonight was our first evening trip to the White Swan since the pandemic and we weren’t disappointed. The course menu was absolutely delicious. Stand out dishes for me were the suckling pig (coupled with a fantastic amaretto custard) and the strawberry meringue dish which...was fresh, perfectly balanced and so beautifully presented. Paired with a super British fizz this really did make for a much needed treat after a long period away from eating out.

We attended a large event here about a week ago and enjoyed absolutely excellent meals. All three dishes for both of us were delicious, well balanced and imaginative. The wine was also very good and the staff were really friendly and attentive considering this was...a large party and they were rushed off their feet so well done. An attractive premises with immaculate facilities though the bar area just slightly soulless, a few more stool’s and a couple of tables but it might also be Covid but superb.

My wife booked this place for me for my birthday. This is an incredible restaurant tucked away in a quiet spot. This is prime example of a hidden gem'. The food was absolutely exceptional and every course was explained down to a tee. Another...great service they offered was a Le Sommelier, giving some great advice on the wide range if wines they had on offer. The service at this place is at a very high quality. Every member of staff were very welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a special place to have an intimate dinner.

From the outside the building looks like a country pub. The inside however is that of a modern restaurant. Opposite the bar is an open space and high stool seating along the wall. On this occasion we were here to check the place out for...a future booking. We had a pot of tea and asked, as it was early afternoon asked if they had any bar food. No, they didn’t. This is not a pub. The front of house manager apologised and found us some chocolates. The menus were interesting, certainly not cheap or mid range. But for a special occasion acceptable. The sommelier is very knowledgeable and there is an extensive bar and wine selection.
