Tan Hill Inn - Carta

The food at this restaurant is fantastic, the atmosphere is great, the staff are friendly, and the scenery is beautiful.

Room pleasant enough and well appointed but hideously overpriced. Food acceptable although one dish was significantly over-salted.

What fantastic place, stayed in our Motorhome overnight. Staff were excellent. Atmosphere was great food was also excellent. Will go back. Ver carta

Seemed a little short on servers/table staff so waited a while for meal but was worth waiting for would definitely recommend the Barnsley chop was delicious

Food was ok, but very expensive for basic pub grub. Wait at the bar was rediculas, most of the time 3 or 4 people queueing with one person serving. Band was great!

I love the uniqueness of the Tan Hill. We have been many times and the main thing that stands out every time is despite any situation the staff all work so hard. Every one of them goes above and beyond. Ver carta

Total chaos! Understaffed queues at the bar were terrible, not enough staff. Food wasn’t good, chips were overcooked and the burger was undercooked, the nachos had hardly any cheese. Certainly won’t be going back to eat.

We had been excited to visit the Tan Hill for some time, but we were disappointed with having to wait in line at the bar every time we wanted a drink or food. Unfortunately, there were not enough staff members, who were doing their best to accommodate everyone's needs. The beer selection was impressive and there was a cozy fire.

Despite arriving for our reservation, which I had made in November, we were informed that the restaurant did not accept reservations and only operated on a ticket system for New Year's Eve. Additionally, they did not use OpenTable. This left us feeling extremely disappointed as we had nowhere to celebrate the New Year. It was clear that we were not the only ones in this situation.
