"Went for a quick dinner before catching train back to Frankfurt. Drinks came quickly, as did the appetizers. Main course unfortunately took excessively long missed our original train back to city. I ordered spaghetti carbonara which seemed to have sat under the heating element longer...than you would expect, egg was “cooked” slightly not the creamy sauce you expect from carbonara. My son-in-law’s salmon was well done. Daughter’s plate of carpaccio was inviting. My husband ordered salad that the dressing was liberally poured over vegetables. Their debit machine was not functioning, thank goodness we were able to scrap the funds between the of us to pay bill. Questioned the waiter on why they did not advise when we entered and response was that there is no signage suggesting they accept debit or credit cards so it was our problem. Interesting approach to customer service. Don’t expect to return."

"we came only for a glass wee (preferably not vegan), as I discovered their vegan options. the sitting area in the open is very nice and also the interior of the restaurant. the meal times have a high price. I was very surprised at the food quality. I did not expect that in the tourist center of rüdesheim, where they have different customers from all over the world every day. also the region is in the rule not famous for many vegan possibilities. one of the best vegan burgers of all time."

"Wingertsknorze is a wine tavern where they also serve proper food. It is quite rare to find this kind of place with real vegan options. So I was positively surprised that they had two vegan main dishes. One was a savoury pancake filled with vegetables, and the other one a roulade made of savoy cabbage stuffed with a puree of red lentils and accompanied with sweet potato mash. Both options come with a salad. I had the roulade and loved every bite of it. It was very tasty and well-seasoned. The only “negative” thing I could say is that portions are not very big (and more options/a vegan dessert would be nice, too... . The price was 13,90 € which I think is reasonable considering the quality of the food and that they obviously don’t use any convenience products. They have a nice outdoor seating-area and staff is very friendly and efficient. They provide a car park in the backyard."
