"this is the restaurant in hamburg, closest to the lindner hagenbeck hotel. it is a typical Greek restaurant. eating is not the same as in Greece, but it is really delicious. Greek salate had a lot of cauliflower that should not be present. but the bifteak ( whatever in Greek) was really delicious. the chef seems to be good. the service was excellent. we didn't want a ouzo, but they served him for greeting and farewell and we drank him. still today was a summer day in hh, not hot, but at least no rain and some sun. if you only want to eat good and good service, this is the right place."

eating was good and the staff is also friendly. the place looks a little dirty. I almost lost my appetit when I saw the dirty button of the spotlight.

a great restaurant far from the city center, but close to the hagenbeck animal park and the volkspark. simple as in Greece great taste and large portions. although it is on a main road, the back is quiet.

we went into the taverna omiros with a large crowd. the friendly staff was attentive and helpful. the menu leads them to the grilled meats. the mixed lamb plate was fabulous. this was good Greek eating at a fair price. Ver carta

this restaurant was very close to our hotel, hotel lindnerpark and loved the children as they also had a small playground for children. Lamm-Souvlaki was good, also chicken souvlaki was good, but for children there were only a few possibilities and that was a bit prolematic.

it is a beautiful Greek restaurant, 3 minutes walk from the lindner hotel hagenbeck. very friendly staff, it didn't bother me that I couldn't have a word in German. the ouzo was great and the lamb souvlaki was very tender. I was even invited to a last glass ouzo before I left.

we had a very tasty evening at the Lindner hotel. enjoyed my stay in the restaurant. have 2 different tellers tried for 2 people (we were there as a group). very good meat, which I can recommend very much. supplements are a good supplement. reis and pommes could be better. I really enjoyed my chalva for dessert. Ver carta

we decided to eat here on the basis of comments from other colleagues. that eating was ok, the pornstars was a really nice meatball style eating for me, but the half dessert was something else, this was a very dry dessert and if I had known I would have ordered something else. the personal was friendly but it was an experience.

had eaten here last night and was pleasantly surprised! the personal is warm and welcoming. my man had souvlaki and I had grilled leber/sweet and ofenkartoffeln. everything was wonderfully prepared. souvlaki was tender and not dry. leber and swirling were tender and well grilled. enjoyed a welcome ouzo. a bit loud next to a busy road (we sat outside), but it was a nice night and very comfortable. we will come back, we should return to this opposite of hamburg!

"There's always a question (in my mind, anyway) as to Michelin's accuracy/usefulness outside of France. In the US, it's not very helpful at all and in Europe ex-France, I've found it hit and miss. Haerlin represented only my second stab at a two-star in Germany and the first meal (Heinz Winkler), while a thoroughly wonderful overall experience, felt like the second star might have been a stretch. Not so at Haerlin, this was a two-star meal that stands fork-to-fork with any I can remember. The food is stylized to within an inch of its life, but close to flawless in both conception and execution. Outside of a large selection of generally unremarkable breads and a luke-warm roasted onion broth added to an amuse at table side that probably should have been hotter, the meal was simply one perfect dish after another. Maybe the sorbet intermezzo was a little old school in such a fashion forward meal, but - hey - it was delicious! Keep it.The room is suitably formal, luxurious in a traditional style, and quite comfortable. The pace of service might be a little leisurely for some (I ate alone and the four-course menu (seven + courses, including amuses, etc) pushed it a bit, stretching just over three hours. However, the friendly and attentive staff kept an eye out the entire time and stopped by if the time between courses presented the opportunity. The somm, in particular, was a great diversion, visiting from time to time to discuss the varied and interesting wines on offer. He provided useful insight into the outstanding selection of trocken Rieslings on the list. He guided me to a 2001 Burklin-Wolf GG that, at Eu 150, was both a great bottle of mature white and a tremendous value for a wine of this quality in this type of restaurant. (Good luck finding a white burgundy of this quality at this price at any multi-star restaurant - or at retail, for that matter.) He also suggested a wonderful German Pinot Noir by the glass that worked perfectly with the meat course and wasn't terribly expensive. The list is extensive, but not the tome you see at some restaurants, but don't be fooled - wine service at Haerlin is both a major plus and represents notable value in the context of multi-star restaurants.I'm not going to argue two-star vs three-star because that distinction often seems to be kind of mysterious (and tangentially related to the food), but I will say that this place certainly deserves two stars. I had just a flat-out great meal. If you can work in a visit, Haerlin should be high on your list."
