Stained Glass Centre

enjoy a garden table on a beautiful sunny day and in an attractive garden area. a tasty cheese and a coffee was enjoyed and the stained glass is one must.

Lovely garden to sit in. We had scones which were delicious and fresh. The shop has gifts for most budgets. Glass ware was reasonably priced rather than some places where you need to get a mortgage to purchase.

Popped in for a scone but decided to share an afternoon tea. Pleased we did as it was very nice sat in the garden with nice sandwiches, lovely quiche, a fantastic cake , an excellent cream scone a chocolate chip cookie. Ver carta

service not very personal/ friendly eating was nice, too much sponge cake on the afternoon tee tablet would not have us a smaller for children, nor would they enjoy over sweet on the afternoon tee. like the cafe layout the service best dissimilar...in would not meet our requirements

We have just had a baby shower at the tea room. All the staff have been so accommodating and friendly . The afternoon tea was amazing, all the food was delicious with plenty to take home. They provided vegetarian, vegan and other special requests. Thank...you for giving us a lovely afternoon

Having been here many times before, we left feeling disappointed this time. The food/cake etc was delicious as always but the service was poor. We were served by a young girl, who was really abrupt in her manner and it really took the edge off...our visit. As nice as your food/cake is, please don’t underestimate the impact that poor customer service can have. Ver carta

Very popular tea room, I presume mostly with locals, as the glass centre itself was much quieter and it is slightly off the beaten track. It seems that it is actually best to book a table, which you would think is most unlikely for such...a place. We hadn't, to the disappointment of the lady, who after a bit of thought, found a table for us. We only wanted a cuppa and a scone/tea cake. There is a reasonable menu of light lunches, snacks, cakes and drinks etc. The cafe has one large room and a couple of smaller rooms and when the weather is decent, there is a large outdoor seating area, in the extensive garden. The cuppa was good and the food was perfectly acceptable.

the teestuben were practically empty when we arrived. we waited to sit while the employee member ignored us and continued their conversation. then she asked if we had booked (it was empty) and then we sat. we then waited for an unacceptable long time while the two other couples arrived and commanded while we were ignored. then I went to the cash register to order and the personal turned her back to me. at this point we went out, terrible service and incredibly rude. we had also planned to return to the stained glass and make a purchase. after this experience and in the urgent necessity of coffee we did not disturb! I have been before, but it was almost 2 years ago, a week before the first lockdown and then it was excellent. I'm now vegetarian and like to try my best to eat vegan meals. I was impressed upon asking the vegan options, not...many establishments realise small changes such as stocking vegan cheese can be really useful. There was even an option for vegan quiche. I chose to have the houmous and red pepper sandwich which was gorgeous! My Mum chose a ham sandwich and she says it was lovely and thick cut. My cappuccino with oat milk was lovely and rich, just how I like it. No pictures as I was too excited to eat but I'll be back so next time I'll take pics! And thank you for having a nice selecti...
