We went for afternoon tea today and had a delightful experience. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. Our server, a charming lady, took great care of us. We will definitely be returning for another visit.

I've had many a good meal here, but this time was a little disappointing. The red curry was really lacking sauce great veggies, plenty of of them, but where was all the sauce? That's the only thing that let it down, and as mentioned, it's usually pretty good, so more sauce in future, folks!

The restaurant has recently changed ownership, but the quality and value have remained excellent. We had been eager to visit, but lockdown restrictions delayed our plans. However, the wait was worth it. We received a friendly welcome and could see the open kitchen, with nothing hidden. It is clear that they use high-quality ingredients and spices. Really poor experience when ordering take out- food was late- phoned 3 times to see where my food was (on the app it said that the delivery driver had set off over 45 mins ago). Was told they would contact the driver and ring me back/ they didn’t. The 3rd time I was told it has been delivered !! It clearly had not! When the food arrived it was cold- so had to reheat in the microwave. It’s a shame to have such poor service- I have regularly ordered over the last few weeks and always enjoyed the food.

I've ordered food regularly from Thai Sawaddee and I'm never disappointed. I live on the adjacent street so mainly order to take out but the people here are extremely friendly and the food is delicious. Brighouse is very fortunate to have a great range of take away options but Thaai Sawaddee is my go to favourite. It's a healthy option and because its slightly off the beaten track it's also never too busy. With an eat in, small restaurant, option this place really is a hidden gem. Highly recommended

We used to come to this restaurant often for its delicious and authentic Thai cuisine. We returned over the weekend to try it with the new owners in place. The food was still good, but it seemed to have been toned down to cater to a more Western palate. My spicy duck salad had some heat, but it should have been much spicier. The red curry, green curry, and massaman curry we tried were tasty, but they lacked the level of chili and fish sauce needed to be truly authentic. I may return because it is affordable and has a cheerful atmosphere, but I will definitely make sure to request more spice next time.

We ordered a takeout from this restaurant due to our usual spot being closed for the Thai new year. We have visited a couple of times in the past couple of years for a sit down meal and have always really enjoyed our meals, however this takeaway didn’t come close to previous standards. We ordered a set menu as it seemed good value for money. We ordered a massaman and red curry. They had way too much lime to the point they were sour and appeared to contain zero coconut milk. The chicken also had a very strange jelly like texture. It wasn’t awful but we certainly wouldn’t go back which is such a shame as our previous experiences have always been good.

Group of 6, only us in the restaurant when we arrived. No issues with starters. We then waiting far to long for our mains. When they eventually arrived they all came out at different times so we was unable to eat together. Our food was served before cutlery so just stood going cold while again we waited (waiter was on the phone). Had to them ask for food to be warmed up in microwave!!! Sides came out after another wait so ate our curry and rice separately!! Last straw I found a really long brown hair in my curry. Constant takeaway orders were 100% taking priority over the poor people on the restaurant. Such a shame cause the food was really nice. We won’t be returning.

We had dinner here on Friday night and it was really good. If Thai West and Thai Sakon are your 5/5 benchmarks, this is a comfortable 4/5. It’s a small cafe layout rather than a restaurant (wipe clean table tops, no alcohol license , with attentive service and pretty fast food arrival. We were the only ones there at 7:30pm and there are only four tables, so I recommend it to others who are hard of hearing like we are, because you won’t struggle to hear!
