It's in a loft space above some shops so you can't look in the windows which is a shame because it's a lovely well spaced restaurant. Tapas was excellent too and the service was just right: attentive but not overbearing. Service: Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The food was ok not great. The chicken and chorizo pasta is actually chicken, chorizo, and mushroom which wasn't made clear and meant I could barely eat the dish. Meatballs were dry. What a wonderful pub. The staff are so helpful and friendly, led by a very good manager Joanne Fisher. The meals are of good sized portions and each one was delicious. We all had different meals and couldn’t fault them. We will definitely eat there again when in Sidmouth. It was very busy so I recommend booking in advance.

Popped in for a drink and planned on eating so found a table that had no indication that the table was booked at a later time. We bought a second round of drinks and were about to order food when one of the staff put a booked sign in front of us and asked us to vacate the table. Very poor standard of customer service. Not somewhere we will be going back to in the near future.

Nice relaxed location with good decor and ambience. A decent menu with local, fresh produce featuring prominently. Super friendly and efficient staff who got the perfect balance between being attentive yet unobtrusive. First floor location also works well for watching the world go by. Both our meals and desserts very good, including vegetarian option. Thoroughly recommend the cocktail menu too. Vegetarian options: Goat's cheese salad was a big hit. This pub which is owned as a cooperative by it's senior staff deserves to do well. We ate in the downstairs restaurant but it would have been a livelier atmosphere in the bar. There was a good choice of items on the menu. We both enjoyed the food we chose and the prices were very reasonable. Food orders had to be made at the bar which was a problem for a disabled diner at another table. The waitress clearing glasses insisted that she couldn't take his order at his table and made him go to the bar. He wasn't happy and the bar staff were not apologetic.
