"Visited for the first time yesterday, adequate parking space, lovely outdoor area which is dog friendly. Service was poor and somewhat slow. Visiting for the first time, it's not clear that you need to get a table yourself and go to the reception to place an order. This is the reason for a 4-star otherwise food was great, tasty and comes at an affordable price. I particularly enjoyed the home made Nachos, different from the usual as well as the beef chili and rich peppercorn sauce. Will be visiting again in the future."

A very nice place to eat or/and drink. The Mixed Grill was mint. Friendly service didn't wait long at all for the food to come out. Definitely be going back.

Not been in since its been done up. Came in lastnight for tea and wow... the food was amaaaazing. Quick service and a friendly, cosy atmosphere. Deffinatly be coming more often

Another fantastic meal at the Ancient Oak again today, cooked by the man himself, Ciaran Treynor , host, bar man, waiter, chef a top all round bloke. Will certainly be visiting again. Xx

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant when I celebrated my 80th birthday party there in November. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was very friendly. It's a great place to enjoy a meal!

well made the staff, 10/10, we had a nice meal from the new menu, then had a drink mishap on our table! the floor staff, where great and our table was soon put right. many thanks again we had a great evening.

I had a delightful meal at the restaurant. I ordered the duck salad while my husband went for the chicken and leek pie. The food was excellent, and there was a generous portion. The desserts were fantastic as well. Additionally, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

I kept my sisters surprise baby shower here in the functional room on Saturday. it was brilliant! the room was clean and ready for us to decorate at a time we had arranged. we all ordered from the main menu and even with a big party all food came to the same time, it was delicious. the staff was helpful and sure that the event went smoothly, would definitely recommend and will soon be back, thank you, an amazing time was from us all!
