"Lovely cafe Nice to have toys and books to keep children entertained. Good layout in village location Food very disappointing. Despite being “home cooked” Got there after 11.30am so didn’t realise you could still order breakfast as the menu said breakfast served until 11.30am So ordered a child’s sandwich, crisps and veg Adults goat cheese panini and chips. My son is good eater, but he hardly touched his lunch, said he didn’t like it. Some of my chips were hard. Clearly they were frozen chips. Not home cooked. My panini was tasteless. I am disappointed, to say the least. The girl at the till asked me if the food was ok, and I said fine, as I don’t like to cause a scene. But for over £16 it was just not worth the money. It was a long 40 min drive for a disappointing lunch. Sorry but I won’t be going back."

"was only for my daughter birthday meal and what a fantastic place to eat. my fillet steak melted in the mouth, although I asked to do it well, only goes to show it can be well made and perfectly cooked and not hard! many special offers on especially the Monday offer really fantastic value for money and the personal was pleasant and very helpful. defo is coming back. highly recommended"

"We visited for the Sunday Roast Carvery, and wow, it's not just a traditional carvery! In addition to the roast, you can choose from a selection of delicious options like a variety of vegetables, pasta, mini burgers, a chocolate fountain with marshmallows and churros, and so much more—all included in the carvery price. As someone who enjoys visually appealing meals, I was in heaven! The staff are incredibly friendly, and each one greeted us with a smile, making us feel comfortable. We also ordered the Carolina BBQ burger and a salmon salad; they were huge, and I couldn't finish either!"

"I recently celebrated my 60th birthday at this fantastic restaurant on January 1st. The food is freshly prepared and absolutely delicious, with generous portions at reasonable prices. The restaurant is impeccably clean, and the staff are incredibly helpful. There's a parking lot available, as well as some street parking out front. It's located in a beautiful area with plenty of walking trails nearby. I highly recommend making a reservation, especially if you're planning to go with a group. Give it a try—you won't be disappointed!"

"We decided to visit the Golden Ball for Sunday lunch; after booking on their website app link, we arrived to a friendly welcome, and within seconds, we were shown to our reserved table. The menus were brought to us with an explanation of the specials for the day. We chose the Sunday roast, with my wife choosing the roast chicken and me the beef, pork and chicken roast, with a huge Yorkshire pudding, roasties, carrots, parsnips, peas and a great-tasting gravy. There were no starters ordered this time, although the menu looked interesting, but we did take the manager's advice and went for sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. During the meal, we were looked after very well, with drinks being brought quickly after ordering We were both really pleased and, after some very average Sunday lunches recently at other venues, happy with what we paid and, more importantly, what we ate."
