"Relaxed, friendly, busy, cafe style bistro serving delicious, really good food. You look at the menu and think, well that looks ok, and then the food arrives and it's generous platefuls of absolute flavour bombs! Kudos to the chef who clearly knows how to season well and cook vegetables, fish, and poultry properly. And thumbs up for stocking local spirits. The only downside is due to the high ceiling and echoey space the sound of other diners can be intrusive. And please install an expel-air, when we were there it was very smoky and our clothes smelled from all the cooking. It's very busy so best to book in advance. Thanks for a lovely evening."

We went for the Wednesday steak night and it was outstanding value. Our waiter was a charming young man who couldn’t have been nicer.

Amazing service. The meals were served very sharply, waiting staff were attentive and helpful, mocktails were excellent. The food is brilliant quality as well and something a bit different for the town. Will be back again!

On our road trip through England/Scotland the best restaurant we visited. No tourists eat but traditional cuisine modern made super tasty, an atmosphere to feel comfortable and super dear staff. Dinner here was unreal! The best Christmas dinner I have ever had out so lovely with special treats extras added! The staff were beyond accommodating with us changing times went above beyond to fit us in! So impressed can’t wait to go back best meal out in a long time couldn’t recommend it enough, great value for money!
