"I stopped by today for the Friday special of fish and chips at this pub, which had a fantastic atmosphere and a cozy feel with a real coal fire. The dining room was comfortable and the food was plentiful. Many people were enjoying the Christmas special menu. The traditional fare was delicious, hot, and freshly cooked. The team, led by Cathy and John, provided great service, a friendly welcome, and delicious home-cooked food. It's a traditional country pub located in Upper Stratton, conveniently near main commuter routes and a reliable local bus service. We often come for the lunch specials or traditional Sunday lunches. The pub has a lively vibe with live music and sports teams. If you haven't already, you'll soon feel like a regular here!"

This restaurant is a fantastic choice for either a night out or a delicious lunch. I highly recommend the dishes they offer to everyone. They could improve their vegetarian options by adding a few more choices. The average cost per person is between £50- £60. The quality of the food and service both deserve a 5-star rating. Ver carta

The service at this restaurant was excellent, the food was delicious, and the portions were generous. I highly recommend trying the lamb shank. I will definitely be returning. The price per person is between £10 and £20. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a 5 out of 5. There is plenty of parking available as well.

What a pub for a roasty, came in unannounced asking for a roast since I’ve been missing my mums, got me straight in and sat down with my drink in hand. Lovely chap next to me made me feel comfortable since I was on my own. After 5 mins food was straight infront on me nice and hot, the pork has to be one of the best I’ve had, potato’s were crispy and Gravy was plentiful, carrots where nice and soft and Yorkshire was quality. I’ll definitely be back in for one in the near future!!!!
