I had a fantastic dinner with a group of 30 friends, thanks to the outstanding service. All the food was served simultaneously, hot and delicious. It was a big success for the team! Great job, we'll definitely be back! Service: 5 Location: 5

We visited for food, had a beef burger and a pie. Both were really nice and it was a lot of food, they definitely didn't skimp on chips. We were initially served by Gemma but everyone was very pleasant. The atmosphere was lovely, and the log fires were a nice addition. Service: 5 Location: 5

This is a quaint and cozy country hotel featuring a lovely fireplace. Although the road nearby is quite busy, the noise doesn’t reach the rooms. Parking is convenient, and the rooms are spacious. However, it's located a bit far from Oxford. The accommodations are roomy and well-insulated from road noise, though some rooms are upstairs, which may pose accessibility challenges—be sure to specify if you need a room on the ground floor. A mention worth noting: while we didn’t have a meal there, the dining room appeared inviting and warm. Overall, I’d rate the rooms as a 4, the service as a 4, and the location as a 3. Ver carta

Booked in for a meal on Sunday evening. Very impressive building when you approach from the road and grounds are excellently maintained. Greeting from the staff was very pleasant and they were attentive throughout the meal. The menu is presently on an single page with more than enough choice and selection. There is a specials board which is regularly updated. I had a traditional Steak, Mushroom and Ale pie and my partner the Fish and Chips. It was all presented beautifully and was top notch for both quality and taste. My only regret was starting with the tasty soup and sourdough bread which left no room for dessert.

What a fantastic little find! Booked this through work as I had a business meeting early in Witney so travelled down and stayed over the night before. What a great little pub and hotel, situated right on edge of the Cotswolds gateway. Really quaint and clean rooms, good WiFi, smart tv with netflix, prime etc and a nice comfortable bed. Food in the pub was also excellent- I had a very delicious starter of Ham hock terrine, then fish and chips for my main. The cooked breakfast offering in the morning was also very good and of high quality. I'll definitely be looking and booking this place again in the future for pleasure! Due to the good reviews, we stayed and ate here. The rooms are spacious, cozy and clean. The pub area is very inviting and dogs allowed. The staff friendly. However, if you eat in the pub area, you have to pay more attention to drink requests. I had fried calamari with arugula and a very tasty chili dressing. The main course was the fillet, which was cooked solidly. Unfortunately, the breakfast wasn't good and could only be improved with scrambled eggs. There was bread and jam. Coffee from the French press. I returned some slices of bread with mold on them. When I wanted to take a croissant I was asked if I wanted to wait for a fresh one.
