"Stopped here for a quick bite in the evening whilst passing through. Limited menu, I had pie and chips. It was hot and tasty so no complaints. I sat at a small corner table and when I went to put my bag on the floor my elbow got caught up in a whole nest of cobwebs that ran floor to ceiling. Moved to a different table and when I looked at the carpet it was glistening with slug slime! Yes you read that right!! Trails and trails of slug slime all over the carpet. I went to put my bag on the chair next to me. The chairs are covered with faded pink felt like fabric that would have been all the rage in the 70s but it was thick with long hairs all trapped in the fabric. The window sills were covered with dead flies. The bar man am I allowed to say man in these politically correct times?? The bar person server was however very friendly, welcoming and polite. Very depressing place, definitely needs a clean and makeover."

Very clicky as my roll had half the amount of pork in it given to the locals served in front of me. Cold flavourless pork £6.49, no gravy For a burger bap sized . Quite underwhelming.

We visited the Bridge Inn having heard good things but were bitterly disappointed. Very limited menu, understandable during these times, portion sizes were good but the food was microwaved and tasteless. Sadly we won’t be going back.

This was our second meal here, food was excellent and well presented as before. Staff always friendly and obliging. Sat in the garden over looking the river, so idilic, not a sound from the busy Fakenham Rd. Will no doubt return again before the summer ends. Ver carta

Very good parking, easily accessible and tonight they had 80s music playing in the background. Not an extensive menu but plenty to choose from. Son choose plain burger with hand cut chips £0.25 extra and fried onions £0.50 extra and both worthy of the money. Husband had the Mexican burger which comes with lots of HOT

After a couple of excellent meals at The Bridge I deceided to book again for Father 's day. We reserved a table in the bar area which is dog friendly and ordered our meals. Three roasts and a Steak. The service and food was excellent as always and we were made to feel very welcome by the manager and his staff. Both my parents are in there 80s and my mum complimented the chef on 'The best Apple pie she has ever eaten '. Our dog was spoilt by the locals as usual and I 'm sure even he looks forward to the next visit. Ver carta

A pleasant walk took us to this lovely pub where we sat outside and had a welcome drink. Very friendly and accommodating staff. We did wonder whether there would be any free tables, only to find the pub virtually empty...why? because someone inconsiderate allowed the main road to be closed for resurfacing. As a result, the pub lost virtually all their custom and revenue. You would have thought out of goodwill and consideration for others, the roadworks could have been delayed. I trust the pub will be fully compensated, as they were apparently supposed to be fully booked. We will gladly visit again and offer our support. Shame on those responsible for ruining the pubs weekend.

I came here for Father's Day, as I have done many times before, but this time the service was poor. The food was nice, but the portions were small. I mentioned that I am gluten-free when booking, and usually the chef comes out to explain what I can and can't have. However, this time the waitress simply said I could only have what was marked on the menu, which turned out to be just olives. When I asked to speak to the chef again, she suggested I could have a roast dinner. The roast beef I ordered ended up having a Yorkshire pudding on it, which I was initially told I couldn't have. After confirming that it was gluten-free, my plate was taken away a minute later because it turned out not to be...

"Where do I even begin? The service from the woman behind the bar was shocking. When I inquired about dairy-free options for my son, I was told that nothing could be modified and that they don't cater to allergies at all! I pointed out the menu's claim that they could accommodate such needs, but my concerns were met with an eye roll. I then tried to order him some chips, but was told they were fried in the same oil as dairy and meat products, and since we are vegetarian, that wouldn't work. I asked about the vegan dishes, only to learn that they are also prepared alongside meat products, so there's no guarantee they would actually be vegan. At this point, my daughters had already become excited about eating out and the play area, so I reluctantly decided to go along with it and ordered three sandwiches on granary bread and a child's fish and chips. My son had a packet of crisps. When the sandwiches arrived, they were absolutely terrible. The cheese and onion sandwich consisted of two slices of cheap store-bought bread, some pre-grated cheese, and a few onion slices—without even a hint of butter! It certainly wasn’t inexpensive; we paid £45 for four soft drinks, three sandwiches, and a child's meal. As for the play area, it was concerning—there were sharp screws poking through the wood chips, loose sharp fixtures on top of the slide, and a large exposed electric cable under the swings! We decided to leave swiftly; it was such a disappointing way to end our holiday, when it should have been a lovely final meal before heading home. I was appalled by their attitude towards me—I felt like an inconvenience. The food was awful, and I genuinely recommend avoiding this place if you are vegan or have allergies; even if a dish is labeled vegan, they certainly don’t take the necessary precautions to keep it separate from meat products. It’s truly unfortunate, as the location by the river is beautiful, and we were all so excited to be there, but we left feeling very disappointed. We definitely won't be returning."
