The Brun Lea Wetherspoon

No longer a Wetherspoons, now owned by some pub conglomerate. Everything has gone downhill poor food, beer has gone up and the service is terrible! Avoid!!

Burger was not seasoned, very tasteless and not alot chips and the plate was on dessert plate, my friend order a pie and mash which took 25 mintues and pie just looked it's been microwave and mash was smash

Poorly run and I have heard from many people that treatment of staff is beyond disgraceful. Managers talk to members like dirt and I wouldn't give my money to this restaurant for anything. Something seriously needs to be done. Ver carta

Went today for lunch ordered spicy meat feast pizza for my husband and barbecue chicken melt asked for no onion rings on but got them on the plate waited ages for it to come when it did arrive the pizza was cold and bland and my chicken was dry and tough

Been coming here 15 years nice deco now BUT food is terrible waited HOUR for cheese and ham toastie turned up cold no cheese ham slices like doorsteps complained was told we 're busy I 'll give it 3 months to improve owners need to sort it people I talk to feel the same

Just been to The Brun Lea the food and waiting time is absolutely terrible. Had the Homemade meat and potato pie which we waited 45mins, I had to ask how long our meals would be and when we finally received our meals it was cold the pie wasn't a pie a bit of filling that barely covered the bottom of the dish which was dry as anything with puff pastry on top with no gravy, the waiter come to check how the meals were told and showed him he said sorry. I would have felt embarrassed to serve that to anybody. Really disappointed won't be going back anytime soon. Ver carta

I ordered 2 breakfast yesterday from the brun lea and all I can say is I would not even feed that to my dog or a stray cat!!! Go back to being a weatherspoons!!Secondly!! My son ordered the pie and a Pandora charm was found in the pie I was told by a bar staffThat I must of dropped it mySelf as the chef doesn’t have a one on the levelOf professionalism In that place is minimal and I will not be going on my weekly visit no longer !!Disgusting Ps the picture of the pie is beforeI found a charmInside!!!! We booked a table for seven, to include our family from Fleetwood. The menu post-Weatherspoons appeared to me (at first sight to be a bit limited but ALL of the main courses ordered were excellent. The only negative (and it was a big one! was that, by 6.30pm, the pudding menu had been depleted to just sticky toffee pudding, with either custard or ice cream. This was a bit annoying at first but the manager was apologetic and we all enjoyed the pud. I can 't understand other people 's comments about unfriendly staff because ALL the staff were friendly and helpful, even though the place was almost packed out. Dont venture to Burnley much but Hubby works there and I had gone shopping. Met hubby for lunch and he suggested here. Upon entering he noticed that it looked different and had a slight refurb. We found a table, looked at the menu and downloaded the Wetherspoon app. It was only then we noticed that it was no longer a Wetherspoon pub. I went to the bar to order and there were 2 people serving. 6 customers at the bar. When I got to the front, the bar was dirty and sticky with spilled drinks. Was told food would be 20 mins as they were busy.
