"We had lunch today for Father’s Day. Hadn’t been before. The food was good but the service was the worst we had seen in a long time. There was no management presence and the floor was run by young people. We were given our menus, 20 mins later the order was taken. We were given dessert menus and had to ask for our order to be taken which seemed at the time like it was an inconvenience by the look on her face. We asked for the bill and was told someone would be over to take payment, they never came. Our waitress was fairly friendly but the final staff member we interacted with was incredibly unfriendly and certainly not Someone that should be working in the hospitality industry. I work for a chain of 5 star hotels so I’m fairly relaxed normally when I go out as I understand the pressure of service time but this was awful. If you could see the staff rushing around then I think we would have understood but they were chatting at the bar a lot of time and had no knowledge of what was happening in the room around them. We would never return and sadly would tell others we know not to waste their money."

Nice food although the portions were quite small for the money. In the area where we had our meal it felt like part of the bar rather than being a restaurant area.

This is a great spot for a pub lunch. The food is very tasty, and the service is excellent. I believe it offers good value for money. I've dined here before and will definitely return.

We received our usual great food, great drink, great service and great value at The Bull at Great Totham. Highly recommended and The Willow Room at The Bull is nothing short of outstanding! Back soon! Kevin Cain

The restaurant has a charming layout! The staff were friendly, although it seemed like many were new, which made things a bit less smooth. They were trying their best, but definitely needed more support. The dinner service was a bit slow, which can be challenging with kids, but we found ways to keep them entertained while we waited. The food was quite good.

Thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas lunch, service was brilliant, food was superb (especially the Goats cheese starter, says my wife)! Food could have been a bit hotter but there again, not easy with mass sittings. Being picky, could have done with some festive music in the background. Could not really fault our experience. Hoping to bring 2 friends with us mid January for 3 birthdays (18th, 24th 26th) celebration lunch can't wait. Ev and John, Leigh on Sea.

we have booked the longest day in the last minute. unfortunately we had the longest waiting time for our food. although the service was friendly and cheerful, it was also very slow. I think they were understated when a young lady was bare and commanded. our ancestors came to sit more than an hour after that. my food was very delicious (whippte ziegenkäse stater and vegetarian risotto), but my man was a little less enthusiastic with his calamari starter, although his steak main was nicely cooked.
