great service, good value pub duve, fun atmosphere. a good mix of old, a real community pub, unfortunately not many left.

Busy place but didn’t wait long for drinks or food. Good food for what you pay and the beer ain’t bad overall better than a sizzler

I found this here for lunch to be an occult place, nothing special..tried fish n chips found them to be too oily and expensive. not sure if I'm going back.

First time meal drinks with my girlfriend, very friendly efficient service from the bar staff waitresses, didn’t have to wait long for food or drinks, I had the pie my girlfriend had the fish chips…. Both meals were lovely!!! nice atmosphere without being too noisy, will definitely visit again

Unfortunately on our last visit, both meals were awful. However, this is not the norm so we tried it again today. Absolutely lovely. Was served by a very friendly dark haired lady and the two mixed grills we had were delicious. Piping hot and the steak on both were perfectly cooked despite 2 different tastes. Will be back. Very poor meal. I ordered bangers and mash, probably my go to dish. Was very shocked at the amount that was in my bowl. You could have put the sausages and mash in the palm of your hand! 3 sausages (average amount in most places) but no veg and only a couple of spoons of potatoes! Literally! 3 small onion rings on the side. To pay over £10.00 I have to say it was a rip off. Callum behind the bar was very friendly and courteous. He’s a definite keeper for you.

Absolutely awful starter 40 mins late burnt tough prawns chicken black when mains came mixed grill sausage very pink on one side black on the other where was the steak the mushroom was bigger over cooked l was told by the manager what do you expect its christmas l replied what you are joking he then came no apology slammed slammed a full payment on the table and walked off l sat there in tears and was told he had to go and take a break absolutely disgusting How a company should allow employees to treat customers in this way never again will l go to this public house stay clear .

I came here with my mum last evening week and she was very disappointed with the shepherd’s pie, not enough mince and too many peas. We mentioned this to the waitress and the manager came over to apologise, but my mum was happy she had told her and didn’t want anything to compensate. During the following week, I received an email with a 40% discount code. I’m not sure if this was because of what has happened or it was a genuine sales pitch. So we decided to give it another go. The place was rammed, the code probably was marketing but we chose something different and my mum was pleased. She does like the Burnt Post and it seemed a shame that I she was unhappy with one of her meals. All is goo... Ver carta
