Local pub but we hadn’t been there since it changed ownership. Gorgeous pub food with real chips and a lovely atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back for Sunday lunch with the family.

Went with my grandparents I ordered the beef dinner and it was probably the best dinner I’ve had. The workers were nice and helped us when needed Karen was our server and took our orders. She was the best. I totally recommend this pub

Sunday lunch was impeccable! Meat was top grade, lots of vegetables, gravy and sauces. Dessert was delicious bread and butter pudding, with a butternut sauce wow!! Great price too two courses x2 and two drinks £42. Served by a Delightful young man, Harris! many thanks see you soon Ver carta

Visited today for our first Sunday Lunch and have to say we left truly satisfied. Andrew (Owner) and Steve Chef are truly amazing and can’t do enough for you. They make every visit enjoyable (yes we have eaten here a few times since Andrew took over and moving to area) but today was a first but definitely not a last Sunday Dinner. Keep doing what you do.

We came to celebrate mother’s 90th birthday. There were 11 of us ranging from 1 year to the birthday girl. Everybody was pleasant surprised by the quality of the food and the change in the pub itself since our last visit more than 6 years ago. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food was all of good quality and arrived nice and hot, the gravy with the steak and ale pie was to die for.

Wow! What an amazing pub with amazing staff. The manager and all her staff were not just super efficient they were amongst the most friendly people we have ever met. All that worked there on the afternoon of Saturday 25 February should be really proud of themselves. The food was great and it was lovely how the chef made a special foil doggy bag of the sausages we couldn't eat (because there was so much). Ver carta

Visited the Butchers this Sunday. Our 1st visit for Sunday lunch. I mudt say its one of the best dinners we've had anywhere in the UK. The gravy was stunning, very tasty. Starters were very nice. Proper Prawn Cocktail with tasty sauce and brown bread butter. (Lots of restraunts these days use cheap mayo and cheap prawns, no bread) There were 11 of us and not one complaint. Highly recommend this place. Bonus was very friendly and attentive staff.

Wow what a great stay at The Butchers Arms. It was a last minute booking, I stayed the one night. I experienced my first time sleeping in the new Welsh Pods which were recently decorated and renovated. Very comfortable and cosy. Very clean. A very stylish pub, I felt as if I walked into a chalet in the Swiss alps! Highly recommend the steak and chips!! Excellent breakfast and the chef made me a takeaway lunch to eat up Pen y fan summit. Great location and only 20 mins away from Pont ar Daf car park. Andrew the landlord was very accommodating. I also had the best weather hiking to the summit. Lots of snow and lots of sunshine!Will definitely be booking again. Thank you for a fab stay

Came for lunch today, we booked online but the only confusing thing is that it isn’t clear online when you ‘confirm’ booking, itll just tell you to edit or cancel booking but it’ll show in your emails a bit later on. Because of the bad signal we ended up booking twice out of confusion hahaha! It was quiet in there but none the less the greeting we had (we think he might be the owner, we spoke about keys) was so kind and welcome. Fire was going, music was on, poured us a drink straight away. What a friendly and nice man, I really appreciated being in his company. It’s hard to impress me when it comes to a lasagne but this one just topped my incredible mood off even more. See attached the hous... Ver carta
