"After reserving a table for Christmas Eve lunch at Castell Mynach through Open Table, we arrived to find out they had no record of our booking. I had chosen a specific time because we had plans later in the day, but there were no tables available! I was incredibly disappointed, especially since it was Christmas Eve and I had hoped for a lovely family meal. I ended up with two hungry children and struggled to find another place nearby that wouldn't require a long wait. I showed the staff at Castell Mynach my booking confirmation, but they insisted they had not received it. This situation clearly needs to be addressed, as the Open Table reservation system seems to be malfunctioning. As a result, our Christmas Eve plans were completely spoiled!"

Very odd vibe from the waiting staff. Was it because I had a child with me? Who knows. It seem that my being there was inconvenient to them. If you don’t want children in your pub. Don’t provide high chairs a kids menu.

I made a reservation for my family for Holy Evening, but three days after booking through OpenTable, the restaurant called to cancel, claiming they had double booked and blamed OpenTable. I'm not sure where the fault lies, but I'll think twice before using either of them again. Just a heads up for anyone considering this place!

The food was served cold, the portions were small, and the prices were quite high for what we received. Although my £25 fillet steak was tasty, it was both small and cold. My daughter ordered a burger and fries from the adult menu for £13.50, but it resembled more of a child's portion. Overall, it was not a great experience for my daughter's birthday, and I won't be returning.

I went for lunch in this pub for my birthday with three of my friends. We were not in any hurry and had a very enjoyable meal. There only appeared to be two members of staff serving and in a very busy restaurant and serving at the bar they did an excellent job . As we were not in any hurry it suited us and to be fair the two people serving did very well. I have been to this pub on quite a few occasions and always enjoyed the food
