"We’ve been coming to Bobolis for 5 years now and the last few visits have been poor. Every time we come with our son, we’ve been put all alone on another side of the restaurant away from everyone else so there’s no atmosphere. The waitress wasn’t friendly and didn’t even acknowledge my baby. When another table came with a baby she was acknowledging them straight away. The food was ok but over priced for what we got. We’ve noticed the prices have gone up but the food isn’t better and service definitely isn’t worth it. Such a shame as we didn’t feel welcome and weren’t asked if the food was ok or if we wanted any more drinks. Edit; after emailing management we visited again and this time had a very different experience. Food and service were both spot on."

"Tired and hungry, five of us went to the Queens Head for a late Sunday lunch. The atmosphere, service, and food quality were all fantastic. We started with drinks from the bar, followed by a variety of appetizers and delicious roast dinners with a generous assortment of vegetables, huge Yorkshire puddings, and thick, tasty gravy. We finished off with some shared desserts. The prices were very reasonable, so you don't have to break the bank to enjoy a satisfying meal with a few drinks. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area and craving hearty, home-cooked style food."

"I visited my daughter and son-in-law last week and on my request they had booked a table for us on black horse on Saturday night at 1 o'clock. we arrived shortly before the pm and all four of us stood in the bar where two were served. it wasn't busy. no one told us anything until the bar was clear and then one of the ladies looked at me and I said we booked a table in my name of my daughter and she saw the bookings and said oh yes, we had table assigned and pointed into another room. there was no greeting no smiling, so we met our way to the table and sat there. there were no menus on the table, so I stood up to find some and someone only made their way from the other room in the direction of our table. we ordered drinks that were in themselves a task, as they had no free or dietary limmonade, so I had to go to the end for a gin with slimline tonic. then we ordered four different meal times. I ordered a vegetarian curry in naanbrot and when it finally came, I was so disappointed because the naanbrot was burned and the curry was cold on the outside, so I asked them to take it back. the waitress asked if I wanted to order something else and I went back. my daughter then shared some of her meals with me, who were chicken pupils. they were coated in a teig that was extremely fat. the menu does not seem to come out of any meal with fresh vegetables, everything seemed to come with chips and draughts, even the Steak-Mahl came only with chips and draughts, no mushrooms, tomatoes, wobble rings or something. I wasn't impressed. for a pub that wants good reviews, I think they have lost the property. the customer service is everything and fresh vegetables is essential. I'm sorry to be the bearer worse, but we won't come back."

"This is a fantastic pub in every way. The local patrons are friendly and make newcomers feel very welcome. They even sang "Happy Birthday" to me, as it was indeed my birthday! As a fan of cask ale, I was delighted to see a selection of four ales available. I chose the Wherry, which was a beautifully kept pint at only £3.50—fabulous taste and great value. I was particularly impressed by Sophie, one of the bar staff. She was very attentive, knowledgeable, and engaged with the guests, making everyone feel at home. All the positive aspects of this pub make it a must-visit spot in the area—possibly the best. I didn't try any food, but it certainly looked appetizing."

"This restaurant is very inviting, offering a diverse menu to choose from. Whether you want to dine in or take away, the staff are friendly and accommodating. Located on the High Street, there may be limited street parking available, but there is a free car park nearby. This restaurant is definitely a must-visit on my list of places to go."
