We hired the World’s End room for my Dad’s 60th Birthday celebration. We were very pleased with the buffet- the food was great and very good value too. We would definitely recommend!

We received a warm welcome and enjoyed a fantastic carvery on Mother's Day at the restaurant. Despite it being a busy day, the staff handled everything very well. Our waitress, Poppy, was excellent - she was friendly and always had a smile on her face. All the food we ordered was delicious and reasonably priced. We also received a lovely little gift. My recent lunch experience at the Chairmakers Inn was excellent. I have dined here multiple times over the years and have had mixed experiences in the past, but under the current management, the pub has truly excelled. Our group all ordered the steak pie, which we unanimously agreed was delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the pub offers great value with weekday specials. I highly recommend giving the Chairmakers a try, as you are sure to be impressed.

Excellent food and great service, had my 50th birthday here just after Xmas. Everything was prepared before hand, and just made the whole evening easier. Melissa was fantastic in helping me for booking this a few months before hand. Everyone loved the food it came out well cooked and hot. Service from the ladies was exceptional and we didn’t feel rushed and had the whole table for over 4 hours. Really recommend this pub for food and staff. Thank you all for making my 50th very special. Everyone had a great time.

Visited here with family. Fantastic service. Excellent menu. I had the most amazing salmon dish. Best I have ever tasted and presented beautifully. Thought I was in a Michelin restaurant. Hubby had spare ribs. He said they were stunning. All the family (6 of us, 4 adults 2 small children) cleaned our plates. Not a scrap left. That included desserts. Very, very reasonable priced as well. Very child friendly and the staff were excellent with the little ones. Such a fabulous experience. We will definitely be back. Thank you Chairmakers. Ver carta

This place is worth the short jaunt to the countryside, from Portsmouth or around as it’s a well managed country pub run by a pleasant couple. We came here for Sunday carvery the quality of which was good. A nice selection of meats, not too overcooked, with vegetables and gravy. Nothing was messed up, and the food was nice. We enjoyed the company of Poppy, who looked after us, and chatting to the lady owner who makes great deserts! The Crème Brûlée are exceptional. Overall, this is a reliable, decent and well run pub with decent food, in a nice setting. Give it a try..

I went to this restaurant for lunch with some friends and our mothers. We made a reservation and were pleased to find that there was plenty of space for our moms, who have limited mobility. The staff serving us were very friendly and provided excellent service. Although the menu wasn't extensive, it offered something for everyone's taste. We had starters, mains, and desserts, all of which were beautifully presented and delicious. This was my first visit since the new owners/managers took over, and I was impressed with the experience. We didn't feel rushed and will definitely be returning. Thank you for a great meal.

Went here on recommendation of a great Sunday lunch and not disappointed at all. Its a carvery and it's better than most I've tried. Roast beef, loin of pork and turkey. Rosemary seasoned roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, broccoli, swede, carrots and a rich gravy. The broccoli and swede were a bit softer than I would have liked, but otherwise spot in. The pork was delicious and the beef perfectly cooked. The potatoes were crispy, tasty and truly homemade, not soggy or stale. Followed with homemade sticky toffee pudding eith custard and homemade triple chocolate brownie with ice cream. Both were delicious.
