First visit yesterday for 13th birthday meal, great service, lovely food will return for the pork belly again, thanks

Very nice meal overall a bit pricey and they could improve on the fish batter as i found this to be a bit flat and greasy, even wetherspoons can manage this.

As soon as we walked in the door , the staff were nothing but amazing! The chef on the carvery was so polite and friendly. The food was incredible and best roast I’ve had locally for a long time . Fabulous experience.

Popped in for Sunday carvery roast not been in a while I think it’s changed hands the meat on carvery was very tough beef pork very fatty and gammon tough as well the overall roast has gone down hill my opinion the roast at ferryboat far superior

Really disappointing meal. Very few customers, kept waiting to order, veg cold on delivery, lamb tough, however WE were told should have come and reported it but in fact nobody in the empty restaurant came to check if all was satisfactory poor service. Did not feel very welcome and will not be returning.

We called in on the off chance of getting a table. The lady who booked us in made us very welcome, and we were seated at table 15 in the bar within minutes. We had the carvery, great choice of beef, belly pork, gammon. All beautifully cooked ,so tender , good selection of vegetables. Highly recommend it. The Carver was a really polite friendly guy .

Firstly I would like to say that the food was amazing. Could not fault it. The service on the other hand was appalling. We had to ask for everything, the menus, for our table to be cleared,for empty glasses to be taken away and for cutlery to eat our food. All this was usually accompanied with some eye rolling. Would definitely think before booking here again.

We went with friends for Sunday lunch to celebrate my birthday. The quality and taste of the food was excellent. Service was efficient although I did think they liked to rush people a little. It is a carvery which is rare nowadays and of course you get people who load up their plates and they need help to get the plate back to the table To sum up it was delicious and well worth it.

Its been a while since we've eaten here and the last visit was very disappointing, well something has definitely changed. Thankfully we had booked as it was very busy, it was Sunday lunchtime so there was a carvery. Apart from our granddaughter we all had the carvery and we weren't disappointed, the meat was lovely , cooked to perfection , hot and really tasty , a good selection of veg , our granddaughter had macaroni cheese which also looked really good. The sticky toffee pudding was the best ever. we will be going back.
