As soon as we walked in the door , the staff were nothing but amazing! The chef on the carvery was so polite and friendly. The food was incredible and best roast I’ve had locally for a long time . Fabulous experience.

Popped in for Sunday carvery roast not been in a while I think it’s changed hands the meat on carvery was very tough beef pork very fatty and gammon tough as well the overall roast has gone down hill my opinion the roast at ferryboat far superior Ver carta

This was our first visit to the carvery since the new management has taken over, and we were thoroughly impressed. The roast dinner was absolutely perfect, with amazing beef and perfectly cooked roast potatoes. The service was great as well. We will definitely be returning regularly. Thank you.

We called in on the off chance of getting a table. The lady who booked us in made us very welcome, and we were seated at table 15 in the bar within minutes. We had the carvery, great choice of beef, belly pork, gammon. All beautifully cooked ,so tender , good selection of vegetables. Highly recommend it. The Carver was a really polite friendly guy .

Firstly I would like to say that the food was amazing. Could not fault it. The service on the other hand was appalling. We had to ask for everything, the menus, for our table to be cleared,for empty glasses to be taken away and for cutlery to eat our food. All this was usually accompanied with some eye rolling. We went with friends for Sunday lunch to celebrate my birthday. The quality and taste of the food was excellent. Service was efficient although I did think they liked to rush people a little. It is a carvery which is rare nowadays and of course you get people who load up their plates and they need help to get the plate back to the table To sum up it was delicious and well worth it.

I dined at this restaurant for the first time under the new ownership. The roast dish was delicious and satisfying, but I was disappointed by the extra charge of £3.50 for a small serving of cauliflower cheese. The cauliflower was cooked al dente, which was fine, but there was only minimal cheese on top and no sauce. The service was average, as we had to request dessert menus and additional drinks, and no one checked in to see if our meals were enjoyable.

I recently visited the restaurant for their carvery and was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional experience. This was my first visit since the management change, and I must say that both the service and food quality have only improved. Every staff member we interacted with was incredibly friendly, especially the gentleman working at the carvery station. The food was outstanding, with all the meats being tender and delicious. The roast potatoes were a standout. I highly recommend this restaurant for a top-notch dining experience. Ver carta
