This is a great family pub in an area where there are plenty of walks. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options on thier menu. First impressions were not so good, waited over 40 mins for our cold drinks and the coffee was actually cold. The table was sticky as it had not been cleaned. Starters were only warm. The table next to us came in with a soaking dog (the rain was very heavy) shaking and sadly not smelling very nice. Quite honestly I could have left however when the main meal arrived which was a roast, it was hot and absolutely delicious! Will definitely go back and hopefully the service will have improved.

I was quite disappointed with my experience at the restaurant. Our table was booked for 7 PM, but we weren't seated until 7:20. The bar staff completely ignored us, despite it being a quiet night. When we finally placed our food order, it took 45 minutes to arrive, and the quality was lacking. We ordered two liver dishes and two pies; the pie was tough, and there was hardly any liver to be found. When asked if we wanted dessert, we declined, and were immediately handed the bill without any offer of coffee or anything else. Overall, the customer service was very poor. Food rating: 2. Ver carta
