"excellent eating, very friendly staff, and while it is busy, there are enough staff and rooms they are always visited. (It's busy because it's good! the eating is a real highlight, the dishes are always well cooked, fresh, creatiw and a solid size (I wanted more as it is delicious, but defo could not handle it. there is always a brilliant selection of fish dishes especially dishes only for this day, because that is what was caught, but if that is not their thing, they will not want to leave with the meat dishes that are so fantastic. I have seen some commentary about the price, 2 of us had three courses and drinks for around £90; given the quality and amount of eating I think that this is good worth it (I went with £140 in the guess the Bill game ."

A lovely staff and owners Warm friendly welcome Enjoyed sitting by the open fire on a very cold day. Visited with a couple of friends on a Sunday afternoon for as spontaneous carvery expecting it would be busy so we were willing to wait. Had a drink before being seated. Food was delicious.

Highly recommend The Tickled Trout, we had a gorgeous meal there last night. I had the Tempura Prawns for starter and Pork Belly Surf and Turf for main, it was all cooked to perfection. There is a great selection of wines and the place has a lovely atmosphere. All the staff were friendly and professional. I will definitely visit again soon

What an incredible experience! Tickled-Tut is a unique restaurant that offers amazing food. I had the fishcake, and even though I typically don't like fish, it was delicious. The fish chips were also fantastic - light, fluffy, and just perfect. The staff was friendly and patient with my young nieces, and the decor was lovely. I will definitely be returning to Tickled-Tut.

A large group of us dined in the outdoor tent. The food was excellent, but it was the staff that really made our experience. They were all incredibly polite and helpful, well-groomed, and always had a smile on their faces, despite the challenges of serving a big party. We will definitely return, perhaps even just as a couple next time. Thank you for making an 80-year-old woman very happy! Ver carta

We visited The Tickled Trout recently for the second time and, once again, we were not disappointed. We met with friends we hadn't seen for ages, and the atmosphere created by the team made for a great evening. Everyone enjoyed all three courses that we ordered. I must also mention that the wine list included some very nice options. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, and we will be visiting again soon.

Absolutely fantastic experience at this restaurant! The service was top-notch and the food was delicious. This place is a rare gem post-COVID, and definitely worth the visit. The English breakfast was outstanding - highly recommend trying the home smoked tipper. Katie and the rest of the staff were exceptional, and we even extended our stay for an additional 2 nights. The room with an outside terrace was a bonus. Overall, a quirky yet traditional English inn that exceeded all expectations. Highly recommend!
