"Warm friendly welcome, table ready prepared for us. Excellent food, the choice was from an extensive menu and all the food was lovely and well presented. Nice atmosphere in the dining room, which was busy. The only slight drawback was the service....although we realised that some guests (ourselves included actually) were known to the staff who chatted to them... we would have appreciated this rather more if we had been given our drinks first! But the quality of all the food was really very good indeed, and no doubt we shall return again soon."

"What a great lunch we had here today! There with my husband, his sister and brother plus their spouses. 1 disabled in the party so great care was taken to seat us in a place that wouldn't interfere with other diners accessibility, but we were still in the main part of the restaurant. Lee, plus his colleague (who's name we didn't get) were really attentive, very polite and had lovely humour, which was fun and added to our enjoyment. The food was delicious Hake curry, curried cauliflower, pork chops and pie if the day were all tasty, particularly the steak pie which was full to the brim with tender steak and melt in the mouth pastry. Sticky toffee pudding rounded off the meal very nicely. Visiting here from York."

"For a sizzling Bank Holiday weekend, this is the place to chill! The chef happily prepared a slightly altered dish for me rather than insist I could only stick to the menu! The choice of local beers and ciders is dizzying with a refreshing tipple for every taste! Despite a busy restaurant, it never seemed crowded and service was swift, considerate and professional. We felt the service was personal and we returned after visiting another local attraction, for afternoon refreshing drinks. Same service with a smile. Be lovely to see soya milk available with coffee, a tiny nuance to take on board and I am sure they will as they have fabulous vegan choices on their menu! Worth stopping by!"

"What a fantastic find! We came across this gem while searching for a quick break during a long journey, and it truly felt magical. It’s a real sanctuary, serving the best Thai food, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The owner extended a warm welcome, and we thoroughly enjoyed the cozy ambiance, especially with the crackling fire on a chilly, rainy night. Our children always ask to return and absolutely loved their meals as well! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!"

"I visited here a few times and feel like it's time I left them a review. the caffe is in a great location, surrounded by some nice little shops in the Burwash manor. the caffe itself has a large (and quite large) sitting area. Outside, where the weather is good and also a series of interiors for these rainy days. at the moment they have to order when they are from the menu that we do more than happy. during Covid times they would hardly want to touch a menu anyway. the food I had there has always been excellent, special favorites are the Burwash breakfast and the Turkish eggs. I'm not a big coffeemaker, but the ones I've had here were always great, better than I've had on many others. the employees are always pleasant and happy to have a chat with them and the service levels have always supported them. apparently there is a new cook so we are happy to see what they bring to the menu. we were in many caffes in the opposite and this is simply in our top people. make sure they were placed for one of the homemade cakes as they kept them wanted back. we will soon be back to try out some of the other products they offer."
