Lovely food and bonus batter bits will be going back asap

Good excellent especially the cod. Had lunch time special which is great value for money Staff were extremely friendly and helpful which makes the certainty of a return Would recommend

It's OK about sums it up for me personally. The award winning pie was nothing special. Veg in a chip shop steak pie is definitely a no from me. All told OK, nothing to write home about and a little on the expensive side. Ver carta

We have lived around the area for 3yrs and decided to have a sit down meal, we both had cod and chips and a side order of minty pea fritters and all we can say is every bit of it was fantastic. The staff are absolutely brilliant and very polite and courteous so happily recommend if in the area

Dreadful! Filthy tables, literally had to ask for it to be cleaned. Service was shocking, waited 20mins to get a drink. Served the main course and we asked where our starters were... delivered at the asne time well about 2mins after we asked were they were! they didn't realise they hadn't served them!!! Food was well over cooked and they couldn't butter a slice if bread if their lives depended on it! Never again!!!

Was looking for a chippy in the area and that came up as the closest to where we were. We grabbed fish and chips and battered hallumi for take away. We live 1 year now in Nottingham and so far we weren't impressed with any chippy we tried. The Cod's Scallops though was by far the best, so far least. It's also worth mentioning, for whoever cares about it, that fish is skinless which is what were looking for all this time as we don't eat the skin. We will definatelly go back for it. Ver carta

Went here with my family the other night. Stood by the ‘please wait here’ sign for a couple minutes before we were finally seated at the same time another family walked in. They received their menus from the waiter but we had to go get our own from the bar. We were surrounded by a handful of dirty uncleared tables for over an hour, it just didn’t create a nice, welcoming atmosphere. Service was so slow. After 30 minutes, we finally got our food. The food just isn’t as it used to be. We received our bill and it was just over £45 for 2 adults and a child. We didn’t even have any drinks! Very expensive for it was and definitely won’t be going back there.

We visited here recently after watching the Long Eaton carnival, having plenty of seating to choose from. Staff members were very accommodating and showing us to our seats and then got a highchair for us. After getting comfy, we the staff member came over to take our order, We went for two mini fish and chip deals and a kids meal. The kids meal was right on the price point, including a drink, main meal and desert. We chose the fish finger and chips, to our surprise the fish fingers were huge, including chips in a mini sand bucket. For the kids dessert we went for ice cream in a pot. Staff throughout were very attentive to our needs and everywhere was spotless. We will definitely be visiting...
